BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
So I go out to leave for work (I think the truck door is ajar but not sure) I open the door...the interior light doesn't come on, that's strange did I forget to close the door and killed the battery, probably. Put key in ignition, I have dash lights, good maybe a timer turns off the interior light. Truck starts; thank you. I look over to the passenger seat and notice my work bag is gone; kids off school this week; uh oh. The idiot missed the change holder with .87 in it; left my expensive glasses and stole my work bag with a few Tootsie Pops and hard candy (that Bastard!)

Anyway this is probably the wrong place to ask (and move it if you like) but now I want a good cheap HOME SECURITY SYSTEM to monitor my home and driveway. Is anyone knowledgable on this subject? What should I buy? I don't want to deal with any companies I want a DIY system that I can review at home or online. Any help would be appreciated. I've thought of this for some time and now seems like a real good time.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I saw a wired camera system at SAMS club for like 300 dollars. It comes with 4 cameras and you have the ability to log into it via your internet and see your home from work. I will try to find a link to it.

I want to get a wireless system for my home so that I dont have to run wires all over my attic but it does costs a bit more.

I have had this same thing happen in the morning to me. It totally sucks!!!! I went with a system from this company in Florida, Not the cheapest but good image quality and mine records sound as well.

Check them out. Your choice http://www.sunsecurity.com/

    Hope this helps.

Dogs love trucks. Guess they might not be too good at guarding them.

Thieves, Liars and Cheats all have one thing in common, poor character. And I am not just talking about politicians.

    Hope the punk gets caught!

He knows all that is going on outside of our home and is not afraid at all to voice his opinion on it. When he growls and does not bark, simply open the door and those who are outside will run away!

One thing you could do is install motion lights. They aren't too expensive.

For a cheap derterant put a motion light right where you park. I know it's not a lot but it should help, particularly if the light is out of reach.

    Steve,

Here is a good product I've seen in use and it worked well, but it can be expensive, look for used, . Was able to pull up live video on a smartphone even, and it's all network based, no CCTV. http://www.netbotz.com/
Good luck, and don't rule out the trunk monkey

I came home from work today and my workbag was at my back door! My Neighbor found it behind his garage!

I guess the IDIOT who stole it didn't find the computer :brianr: he was hoping for and I got my custom bag back!
