Some of that looks a lot like clay. Mud is one thing, but clay is something else!

I forget, is this the same area you guys did last year? Looks like you guys are having fun! Stay safe!

Last year they were in Arkansas. Banjo Land.

This year they're in Kentucky. A different banjo land

    I'm seeing a theme here...

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
    Yes. Very greasy clay.

Almost took some damage today. If I didn't have a little poke to my tires, the fender would've gotten a tree...slid sideways right into it...no stopping it.

Cool two days on trail. Day one got shortened a lot because of several hours winching up 30 yards of steep mud. Still got Nada Tunnel and all of Spasse Creek and what ever the “extreme” section is called. A brain fart on my part kept us from Pumpkin Hollow but we were blown anyway. Great food and a hot shower were greatly appreciated.

Today got shortened at the start by the mother of all mud pits. The prospect of hours of winching to get a quarter mile was quickly thrown out. The sections of the DBBB and KAT we did today were amazing. Just enough mud to make it spicey. Rocks and ledges. Creek crossings (missing bridge…). Fan-freaking-tastic views. Great group of people and an amazing adventure. Oh. And really good eats!

Modern science has failed to harness the friction-free properties of wet clay. If they were serious about being scientists, they would have figured out how to use wet clay to lubricate everything. It has zero friction!

I'm meeting with the Dayton rep next Tuesday if you guys come up with anymore questions. He sent these for reference.

He did mention maybe doing this place in case anyone wants to rent instead of bringing their own kayak/canoe.

It is farther up but gives us an out arond Mazomanie if the weather takes a turn.

They have done this trip the last 35 years in August. Lots of stories.....

Well, it happened. On the last stream crossing I sucked some water. Trip done. Guys heading to the campground, I'm waiting on the flatbed for home.

Pull them plugs and burp it out. Obviously you'll need all new fluids and a healthy diagnosis. Good luck my friend
