Next week I will be doing some light weight off roading (might be lots of mud with all our recent rain) and I have routes mapped but there will be no cell coverage so I tested my onX offline mapping program. I just set a route locally that included a section with no cell coverage and it worked perfectly.

I really like that the offline onX maps show on the truck screen and the trucks GPS tracks the truck on them.

I know onX is old news, but it's new to me....

agreed, it’s very useful. I use onX and Gaia. Gaia’s user interface isn’t nearly as good.

is that OnX with CarPlay? I dont have that option with CarPlay; I’m using BackCountry not the off-road though.

Some suspension goodies showed up today, just waiting on Hotshot Offroad to assemble my front shocks.
I'm going a slightly different route than normal and pairing the rear 8100 dsa with 6112 up front.
I couldn't quite stomach the $3800 for the full 8100 setup.

    I know.
If the front shocks didn't cost $2400 for the pair I would have gone full 8100. Both 6112 with 650 springs was $200 less than the cost of one 8112.

I can't wait until June, when I have a road trip to the north shore planned, to go hit some low maintenance dirt roads.
Then in August I'm going to Austin, TX to see my daughter for her 21st birthday and one of the days I plan on driving Padre Island. So hopefully once I get away from all the crowds I can really open it up on the beach.

It aint much, but I finally got around to installing my rago fabrication's center console molle organizer. I have a wireless carplay adapter, so I installed a wireless magsafe charger as well, since I dont need to plug in every time.

The center console is just high enough to fit my 32oz water, so that was cool. I have a molle pouch on the way to mount so that I have a pocket for random stuff. Also bought metal backer plates to mount a QLS receiver plate so I can mount my safariland holster on there. I'll probably mount a radio on there eventually

Wasn't planning on getting the racks and tonneau but a buddy of mine sold his Tacoma and gave me a ridiculous deal. All for pretty much the price of the Diamondback alone. (Diamondback, uptop overland truss rack, prinsu pro roof rack).

which adapter are you using for wireless CarPlay? I’ve seen a bunch on Amazon but seems like a toss up between it having issues or not.

    Yeah, I know you're joking but, uh.....lol!

I was lucky to get the pricing I did for my TRD Bilstein 5100s...military discount...and the whole kit/kaboodle was still expensive.

Don't wanna think about how much more those other shocks cost...plus the maintenance/upkeep.

But, like you said...we are commoners!

Installed s new Road Active Suspension today. Absolute night and day difference. Added a cap and was carrying 200lbs in the bed and it was bouncing on top of the SUMO springs i added earlier. Truck is more planted, took out the sag and added 1 1/2 inches in the back. Feels like it did new with the empty bed. Highly recommend it if your squatting in the back.

I am hoping to get over 60k miles out of the 8100s before a rebuild and I have a feeling when the front 6112 wear out they will be replaced with 8112. Shock rebuilding is only a few hundred dollars and I have 4 mountain bikes that need their shocks rebuilt every 100 hours of riding so I am used to the maintenance aspect of suspension.

A couple years ago I upgraded from OEM to Dobinsons twin tube shocks because my OEM ones were shot. And I have been kicking myself because I should have just spent the extra money to go big with 2.5 shocks.
    Buy once, cry once.

Would love an update once you get these on. I'd do the opposite, just the fronts and leave my rears alone, but I also cannot stomach the full set all at once lol.

I plan on making a thread about it once I get them installed.
Originally my plan was Dobinsons IMS up front with MRR in the rear but after watching Shock Value by Overland Outfitters on YouTube, I decided that for less money I can get a better ride with the Bilstein.
I went with 8100 in the rear because I carry a lot of weight on adventures, around 6000lbs gvwr, and wanted a shock that can handle dampening the extra weight because I want to go fast lol.
