I have about 1100 miles on mine with Greenlane slider-steps and the Canadian flaps and full bed PPF… Absolutely no chips at all.

I bought a 2025 TH last week, and the Toyota dealership offered $2K for a full body ceramic coat. That sounded great, but I've been told that rock dings on the coating look like whiteheads, which would not look good on Underground paint. Any thoughts on the value of ceramic paint protection?

Ceramic coatings do not protect from rock chipping in any way.PPF does help but rocks if large enough will still damage the paint

Thanks. So the purpose would be to protect against scratches only?

Ceramic coating purpose is similar to wax. Repels water and easier to wash. Think of it as candy apple. You can order some ceramic coats from Amazon and apply them yourself. It’s very easy to do. I would never pay $2k for that.

The purpose of it to separate you from your cash. DIY it…and remember it needs to be redone regularly.

This. Mudflaps would have stopped about 99% of those chips.

The TH in Canada actually comes with these wide mudflaps that I purchased seperately when I installed wider wheels and tires on my trd offroad. no rock chips on my rear fenders so far.

It's the running boards that are preventing the rock chips the most ,I have the TRD OR premium with zero chips on the rear fenders .Canadian model with stock mud flaps and running boards

isnt it a law in Canada to have mud flaps on trucks? maybe that's why they are bigger up there?

Agree here, mud flaps were not standard on the 3rd gen. They were the only option I had added when I ordered my Pro back in 2020.
And to clarify. Port installed, on my allocated truck.

You're getting that chipping, with those mud flaps installed?

A coating is like an extra layer of clear coat, it will chip the same and offers no protection besides from the enviornment and ease of maintaining paint. PPF is what you'll need if you want to protect anything from actual damage.
