TRD Sport 5/14/2021 - Loving my 3rd Gen Tacoma!

No. The fender flare... the one on left side rear end. I don't have snorkel.

 

We need to motivate each other by doing the work and posting pics.

 

I don't have room in the garage and I don't have a lift to lift the truck up so I could look under..

 

Here's my setup at home...I also have access to Auto Hobby Shop on Dover AFB.

I'm fortunate to have these options.

 

Sorry I meant you should get one to distract from the scratches in the fender flare. Too bad it wouldn’t help in your case

 

My dad had those ramps like yours in first picture. I went to his house to collect his stuff after he passed away... I couldn't find them. I think someone got them from him before I got there. Oh well..

I have a friend who has a shop but he isn't local though.

 

Oh. I get it now. I went to see friends and showed off my truck to them.. They asked me and see if I plan to get snorkel... I told them, I don't know. I prefer the mods I want first then The snorkel can be last and be considered. They said "Your truck is awesome!" Others say "Badass!" lol

 

Looking forward to this TRD Suspension Kit Lift...to be done by the dealership.

I already have the Heritage Grill/Garnish.

My confidence in install by dealership is high...any issues and I can bring it back for review.

Update: 1 week until truck goes in the shop!

I paid for TRD Suspension Kit today...got military discount which took $100 off the total price.

Then I spoke to the Service Manager and worked out labor charges...which includes military discount.

The service department at Dover Toyota (I.G. Burton) have been totally awesome with me.

I'm totally confident my truck will turn out great.

As a matter of fact, I need to drill out/easy out this darn security bolt from my Talon CAT plate before next week.

I've been busy but definitely need to make time...this weekend, if not sooner.

 

Update:

I got my hands on the parts for my TRD Suspension Upgrade. Sadly, I was not able to have the work done where it was scheduled here in Dover.

Long story short, I'm taking a drive up to Newark, DE and have the Toyota Dealership up there do the install--I'll have a 4th Gen as a loaner.

Here's my juicy parts!!!

 

WTH? The dealership giving you the run around with the installation? Also, curious to see what you think of the 4th gen.

I'll give you the "skewp" soon enough...install is tomorrow.

 

So, I drove up to Newark, DE this morning and dropped off my truck at the Toyota Service Station.

Got the vehicle in-checked/inspected and mentioned some concerns regarding the TRD Skid & security bolts attached/married to the Talon CAT Plate.

Then I went to see "Jan", for real...her name was Jan like the Toyota Commercial Lady...except she was a blond.

Paul the service guy helping me was able to get a 2024 Tacoma Limited as a loaner--what a sweet ride!

It overall performs much better with regards to handling (Shocks) than my current setup on my Sport (Hitachi Shocks).

Anyhow...it's a 6hr job and it will be completed in one day...they stay open until 7:30pm, I was told.

I'm super excited to see/drive my truck!

 

I just got the call!

I parked differently now...with headlights away from the sun.

 

I thought about getting myself a lift kit similar to yours. But it could be taking awhile before I get that kit. Because I have other mods that I want to be added first. Such as tent, awning, etc. My friend suggested that I get airbag lift kit.. So I don't know about that one because I have concerns. I really hate when the air goes out and the lift goes down to look like the truck sags. I will have to figure something out since I plan to put stuff on the rack above and maybe to get the 7x14 trailer.
