I dump my ashes from the shop stove in our fire pit through the winter so they can get rained on, I shoveled them out Saturday and put them in the woods and was a little leery of that and they been rained on a lot

kinda reminds me of all the cops I know who regularly break the laws because they are the law?!? haha. Not that your neighbor is that way, but just reminded me of that.
Considering the risk of fires and that NC fire going on right now....I have just been blowing the leaves and debris in the wood line!

Its not even totally dry here and still be issues for whatever reason. mostly from homeowners doing it though. Its only the bigger farms doing it right now on that side and they have pretty good systems in place for it.

Is it a like "staged" ban? I know back where I grew up they would have burn bans in stages. Like Stage 1 no brush burning but could have fires, Stage 2 no fires, Stage 3 would be like no grills either

March 10th the Virginia department of forestry rolled into the neighbors property with 7 men and a dozer and burnt his fields off. They are super green now.

Was a little windy that day and they didn't start until after 4:00, thank goodness it didn't get out of control.

Friend of mines pallet company burnt up Friday morning. It sparked a woods fire that burnt about 10 acres. The ATF and state police have been there trying to determine the cause since the loss was so great. Started about 1 am.

The ash is good for your chickens to use in their dust bath. Helps keep the bugs off of them.

Friend of mines Mahindra shuttle rod broke. Ground the bracket off and made one a little thicker with a new pin.

No. It says the amount involved (financially) and the time (1am) makes them suspicious.

I'd say that's a several million dollar fire.

The ATF does arson investigations and has people trained for that. So state police probably asked for help and they cane
