I apologize if I missed this information posted elsewhere but does anyone have any info on the value of the stock bed and tailgate or where to sell them? I'm taking steps towards having a flatbed installed and my big hang-up is what to do with everything that's removed.

My bed was scrapped since it was damaged.

a good step would be to go on car-part.com and see what salvage yards in your area are selling them for.

For anyone building your own flatbed, what are you doing for a drawer or the under bed tool boxes?

    I have a flatbed now!

    IMG_9073.jpg

Need to make time to install it and fab a rear tow hitch.

Also: where have you sourced a rear trundle drawer and angled tool boxes?
I’m looking for a long aluminum drawer setup to mount under the flatbed deck between the frame rails. 24-34” wide, ~8-9” tall, ~48” long

So yeah, need drawers and under bed angled tool boxes.

FYI: Summit Expedition Trucks lists their drawer as for sale, but in reality they will not sell it separately - you have to also purchase one of their flatbeds.

    Website is extremely misleading.

can really make it what ever you want in regards to dimension when you are building it. Believe mines 6 feet long and 70” wide if I recall. I ordered mine and wasn’t aware they had the slimmer version but so far so good. Only had one or two issues in the trees.

I am a dclb however the same bed can be adapted to short beds as well. Some photos floating around of that.

IMG_0125.jpg A tree fell on the back of my truck last December. I had to get the frame straightened and then I ended up going with the Double Diamond Fab flatbed. Super happy with it . SK Welding in Graham WA did the work. He did a great job!

Finally getting more work done on it. Still need to get it tabbed out for the diamond plate, add a rail around the outside for strapping stuff down, find some lights for it and figure out how to mount them, and build some kind of tailgate. (What do you all think, fold down or swing out for the tailgate??). Any other ideas of stuff to put on before I blast and coat?

looks great. I like fold down since you can get an extra work surface if you do it as a tailgate style. If you are doing a drawer under the deck though a swing out with a table can accomplish the same deal. I miss having the tailgate as a work surface from the stock bed.

I keep trying to figure out an aftermarket solution to a dual action swing out and drop down tailgate. Aka, Ridgeline tailgate.

Thanks. Its coming along. I'm leaning towards the fold down too. Would make it easier getting on top to the tent as well. One of the guys here at work just suggested building a whole bedslide for the box so I don't have to crawl in to get my fishing gear haha so I might add that to the list as well.

That would be a pretty slick idea. I don't know if I could fab one of those without it shaking like a rattle trap haha.
