    Actually, they work pretty good with side bite.
    My toro would need to be canted like 10° uphill to stay on track.
    This is pretty much straight across the hill.
    Neighbor must of thought I was nuts when I was testing it on the mound.

    I did a lot of experimenting with these. Some repairs came out better than others.
    That’s ok. More info for others down the road. Doesn’t mean i can’t repair my repair later.

    It should have a collet similar to below. Take the outer nut off and work at those slots with a little pick and maybe a putty knife to lever it out.

    Id try with backside of a razor blade and try to scratch it out. Take the collet off and should be able to slide the blade up the three grooves
