We have the same output options/settings for the manuals (minus trans control, obviously). We're currently developing an actual Rev-Hang reduction strategy for them as well, but that's not 100% finished at this point.

Stopped by the Toyota dealer to tune a bunch of 4th gens yesterday. Really shows the trust the industry has in Overland Tailor Tuning - OTT.

Call Toyota Corp/TRD and offer them your tune as the official "TRD Tune" that they need to compete with the Ford Racing tunes the Ranger has.

Probably the weird one out here with this question... are folks seeing fuel economy increases with the OTT tune on the hybrid or non hybrid?

To be brutally honest, it's improbable you're going to see a fuel efficiency increase from any tune on the 4G Tacoma. If that's what you're ultimately after, getting a tune is going to disappoint you, unfortunately.

@JustDSM Have you observed any additional turbo whistle from the hardware mods you have in the works (e.g. impeller swap, throttle body upgrade)? I'd love to have some more noise. I know I could replace the airbox with aftermarket, but I don't think that is going to emphasize what I'm going for. Might be wrong.

I'd love to see a video of before/after manual tuning. Don't need high production quality but would love to see basic driving behavior and neutral rev-hang behavior like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWjN1m3X9O0&t=701s

That said, when my truck gets here, I'll probably just get the tune if the rev hang bothers me. I didn't mind it in my 22 but don't remember if it was as pronounced (presently in a 4Runner).

In my non-hybrid 24 off-road, I didn’t see an increase, or decrease in mpg from the tune. However, the drive-ability is much improved and worth it for that reason alone.

id be willing to pay double for a tune that had factory warranty behind it! im not saying OTT tune is not safe. but having a manufacture say yea we will stand behind that is always nice.

I had OTT tune on my 3rd gen……..an absolute MUST
And never had any issues with any dealer performing work

Toyota fixed most of the complaints of the 3rd gen (tranny shift. Acceleration) for the 4th gen

so my issue is do I really need it or is the performance difference that great?
    I don’t tow. I don’t Offroad and I live at sea level
