He's doing okay, says he still hurts. I think he may have said he's going back to work soon?

Looking to get something fun and reliable to daily, and I've pretty much settled on the 1st Gen FR-S/BRZ/86. My budget is $10k max, and I've found 3 candidates so far. I went to Adam's toyota and sat in the GR86 and killed it twice, then let @gasparic104 drive it around the lot. It fit like a glove, but wasn't terribly uncomfortable. Supposedly, the 1st gens have about .5" more head room, and the GR86 was like right at head level after I scooted the seat back. The fun part will be if I still enjoy driving it when I have to climb out of it every time lol. I figure I can buy one, drive it for a couple months, then decide if I want to keep it or sell it for what I paid for it.

Right now it's just about getting the money together.

Failed state inspection for the horn, had to order a clock spring. A lovely cherry on top of the radon system I just paid to have put in today as well.

Turns out Toyota's part website is bullshit and when it says 'enter your vin to guarantee fit' it doesn't actually run your vin to see what the exact part is, just what generation it is. So the spiral cable I ordered was for the non-steering wheel controls 2nd gen. Have to exchange it at the stealership for the right one, which isn't on sale, and is twice the price.

843060-0E010 IS the correct one, and it superseded 843060-48030. Either will work.

843060-48080 IS NOT the right one, and it's a lot cheaper.

    Don't get bamboozled like me!

So for ATR this year I think I want to refresh my suspension. So new shocks and coilovers from accutune, and some Deaver H70HDs. The rear's been sagging as the H70s wore in, and I've been using them hard hauling dirt. Also need to chop a bit more off my cab mount on the driver's side as these 295s rub at full lock in reverse on that side.

Really wish I had more money and time... They just cut off OT at work. Haven't been super motivated to work on anything lately. The 350z drift build hit a wall and it sucked all my will to work on things out of me. Hoping to get that turned around soon as well. Helicoil in the crank shaft time... If you want to keep up on that build, NotSo_JDM on instagram is where we post about it.

Whelp, sent Accutune, JD Fab, and Poly Performance Emails. Poly said they won't do the 90 degree fittings, they would sell them separate but not installed due to 'warranty' concerns. Which sucks because they are cheaper than Accutune. But the upside with Accutune is they give a 25% labor discount on rebuilds if you buy from them, plus the free initial tune based on your setup and weight. JD fab costs just as much as Poly after shipping, and they never replied to my questions anyway...
Hoping Accutune is quick to let me know the material breakdown on the 2.5 Kings vs Foxes and corrosion resistances so I can make an educated decision. Their articles are years apart and have differing info, so I'm assuming the manufacturers changed up their materials at some point.

Also saw they have their own inhouse brand called Ride Suspension, which they kinda go over in the newer article and it seems like it takes a lot of the good from both king and foxes and combines them, but I forgot to see where they are compared pricewise. Unfortunately their site won't open at work for whatever reason.

Once I have a decision in mind it'll be later this month or early next month when I get my orders placed with Poly Performance and Accutune. Poly for the Deavers and Ubolts (mine are bent ) since they have them listed for around the same price as everywhere else plus free shipping. And Accutune for the shocks. I'm only tackling the rear suspension this go round, but I'll be in the market for new front coilovers soon too, since I'm suspecting these 6112s to not be keeping up with the weight since the sliders were added on.

Corrosion resistance on coilovers around here is a joke. Those Foxes I had on the DropBear looked terrible after one winter.
Rears shouldn't be as bad though.
