I used to think the TX drivers are the worst trope was just hating on TX. But after moving back here and having an outsiders perspective....TX drivers are the worst! Every day seeing cars cut across entire parking lot spaces instead of driving in the lanes, driving at different speeds on the highways, not stopping at red lights because "right on red" i guess just means it's really green. I almost t-boned a USPS driver doing that shite earlier this week! It's no wonder the required insurance minimums here are higher than CO.

And they just got rid of annual safety inspections this year.

 

I wonder what the Texas Squat will look like compared to the Carolina Squat.

These are the shitty gauge steel too. I think I paid like $40.00 for one just like this years ago. Sold it to someone on here for like $20. I have a few of the heavy gauge models, I think I'll hold onto them.

I'm more concerned about closing day. But today didn't suck.

It's not so much that the team sucks (personally, I think Bud Black has done wonders with what he has to work with), but Monfort doesn't give a rat's ass about building a competitive team. Seats still get filled by fans from the opposition teams, because it's cheaper for them to vacation here, and take in their team's games, than to see their teams locally.
We won't get a competitive team until MLB forces that idiot to sell the team to someone who will actually want to give the fans a team worth rooting for.

Bottom line, for me, is that I'll cheer for the guys we have playing, but I'll be damned if I'm going to a game and in any way, shape or form, supporting Monfort.

 

I want my son to go to his first game soon & I think that may be my last time going. That area is pretty bad now a days & don’t want him to see all the bullshit downtown has become. Sucks

 

I think you can avoid the worst by parking fairly close, and maybe come in from the McGregor Square side. I hope you and your boy have a great time - don't get me wrong, I love spending an afternoon or evening rooting for our home team, having a couple of beers and dogs, but Monfort has pretty much ruined the experience for me, as I'm tired of the Rocks being MLB's favorite farm team.
