I changed my spark plugs at 150000klms and serpentine belt at 155000 klms. Both were in good condition although changing the plugs a bit sooner might have been beneficial because they were a bit difficult to remove.

If you have the 2016-2017 3.5L V6, make sure it is not the HP fuel pump (17ish and later have an updated part, best way to confirm it is a belt driven noise?? remove the serp belt and start the engine, if the noise goes away, you know it is a belt driven noise, but if the noise is still there, then it is not a belt driven noise... Just make sure engine is not run very long, water pump will not work with belt off obviously.. lol

EDITed to say, did you buy an aftermarket belt, or a dealer belt, and was the dealer belt the updated (as of about 3 years ago, use the most updated belt available) part number 90916-A2037??
If going aftermarket, I have had issues out of most of them over the years other than the Continental belts, if they have a better best, always use the best version of the Continental belt... As much as I hate buying anything from AZ, they carry the Conti line of belts.....

The 3.5L V6 calls for spark plug replacement at 60K for emissions warranty.... I'm pretty sure the 2.7L I4 is at 100K...

    WTF???

OK, so I ordered the Pro grill and 2 other items (March 4th), one of the items was a special order (said it would take 5-7 days to get in-ok cool), well after waiting over 2 weeks it came in and I got the 2nd email (March 20th as well as the total was removed from my checking account) from the dealer saying order #xxxx has shipped and gave me the tracking number, the email also said "It may take up to 24 hours for the shipping information to be available on the tracking page."
Well it is now 10 days later again and nothing...
So in 2 days, it will be a month waiting...

I know when I ordered my oil and stuff from a different dealer it took over 2 weeks to get my order, but damn, this is crazy.. I just hope my grill isn't being damaged sitting on the dealers floor waiting on someone to take it to the post office, or the post office to come pick it up..

Is this normal when ordering from Toyota dealers??
I just emailed the dealer this morning...:frusty::frusty::frusty:

My order #xxxx, (tracking number x*x*x*x*) is still showing "Pre-Shipment, USPS Awaiting Item March 20, 2025", as of this morning (April 2 2025) which is 10 business days later, while the e-mail states "It may take up to 24 hours for the shipping information to be available on the tracking page." Payment was taken out of my checking account on March 20 2025, so I know payment is not the issue...

Just looking for an update on my order please...

    Thank you

    This and that
Def just laying on the floor in a dealer’s stockroom, or propping open the employee bathroom door to help air it out.
Isn’t there a lot of crazy weather going on out there? Possibly delaying the shipment. Where did you order it from?

This is not uncommon. The dealer is ready to ship your package, but they have not received it yet from their supplier, sister dealership, corporate office, japan, etc. (or they did, and it was damaged and they are waiting on a replacement). They won't forget about you lol.

Coming from HOUSTON,TX77054, I'm in Nashville Tn... My brother is a truck driver for the post office (contracted), they run 24/7 365, don't think weather has much to do with it...

2 parts were in stock, other one was 5-7 days out, already got it in, I have the tracking order now, dealer has closed the order...

I've ordered from Wesley Chapel before, if they had the Pro Grill for $138.00, I would of ordered it from them, but the TX dealer is only charging $13.73 for shipping, hard to beat that price... lol

Me too.... seems too good to be true. The seller
Me too. Seems too good to be true. The shop appears to be reputable with 268k sales and 4k followers so hoping it's a safe bet.
The 130 Amp alternator from Toyots goes for around $650+ around here so finger's crossed.
Not sure who makes OEM brand? Aisin or Denso?

Thank you and for the reminder. I'll do that first before unbolting everything. Now I have to look up the HP fuel pump price and replacmemt lol. I remember a few threads on that in here. The chiriping...

EDIT. Dam... a 30 second google search came up with this video and it sure sounds alot like it.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=tac...ate=ive&vld=cid:acf3fbb5,vid:ckMQBGwx6Gc,st:0

.Mine is a 2016. Bought it new.

The belt I got was not OEM. It was Bando brand and pulley #2 was Koyo brand.

There is a very good chance you need either the most updated serp belt, or the Conti branded belt, I would try a dealer belt before I installed a new alt.. I had a customer put me on to the Conti belts after dealing with belt noise on a different customers vehicle, and I had always used Gates/Dayco belts... But again, remove belt to check for noise 1st... lol

Start at 5:30 for the HP fuel pump chirp noise...
Start at 6:30 for the belt noise...

Thanks man. The more Google-Fu searching and reading on here, it definitely sounds like this. But again I'll check with no belt on.
Alternator will have to sit on the bench for now most likely lol. No harm in swapping it out though if I get bored one weekend.
EDIT: Great video, shows the location too! I can listen to that bastard now and see if that's it.

This just reminded me, way back I had an Isuzu pickup, which had a huge meaty alternator and starter. I don't remember which component, but I had one of them rebuilt by a rebuilder in Columbus Ohio, and they did a fantastic job. That was their business so they were good at it. Did you get any prices on a rebuild? Maybe you could rebuild the old one just in case. I don't know.
