HVAC power cables? I'm just curious.

I'm more concerned that it looks like the trusses were made with different widths of lumber.

Those are the 200A SER wires for the three units down the line (4/0).
The trusses are all 2x4, not sure where youre seeing other sizes?

    Good morning stockers.

Next to your boot in the pic, it looked like one brace was a 2x4, the other a 2x6. It was more of a sarcastic remark, maybe it was actually designed that way or maybe they were cut at different angles and one just looks different.

Legitimate question here because I know nothing about this: Why don't these two joints come together evenly? They do look to both be 2x4s, but why are they offset like that?

They slam them together at a facility and the amount of fucks given is prob on the lower end would be my guess. The engineers spec them to not break regardless so I dont think it matters. Those metal plates with the teeth are pressed the hell in and nothings moving.

    howdy folks.

Got hairy here last night. Tornado's in the neighborhood. In all my years I've never felt like i did when the sirens were blaring, the 'freight train' was rinning over head, phone was lighting up with warnigs to get in your basement. First time I found more frightening than exciting. I can't imagine taking a hit. A massive wearhouse 3 miles due west of my house had some walls and roofing removed. In the 'hood there were several roaving trampolines and flying lawn furniture, but we were spared any damage. All good. 3.5 inches of rain fell in about 2 hours now it's flood warnings everywhere.

    yay spring!

    Glad you're OK.
    Can't even imagine.
We get an occasional F0-F1 here, but nothing compared to other parts of the country.
