thanks, the charcoal dash and trim is a little on the tan side anyways. the stock seats are really where the big difference is which, with your truck, would make it a tad difficult to tell:p.

243,300. Yoko MTs, TC UCAs installed, and LBJ replacement. Hoping to do a tundra brake upgrade next and 4x4 conversion in the works…

Stupid easy fix today. With these trucks being over 20 years old, original plastic parts are prone to break nowadays. The other day I noticed the truck had essentially “zombie” brake lights while the truck was off, no key in ignition, light stalk in off position…the tail housing was hot to the touch after my commute.

After digging into it I came across this thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/taillights-stay-on-when-engine-is-off.760612/

Mind you, the listed part # within that thread is incorrect today as it falls under 3 different parts. See pic below for part #.

This cushion keeps a switch depressed when not actively engaging the brake pedal.

Did this the other week. I have been whoring up the 1st gen thread but want to update it here on my build page.

Fun project today and an easy win. Someone had linked this part for the cup holders a while back and I bought a set. Might’ve been off Amazon.

Old set that’s been torn off.

    Old piece vs new.

This longer piece goes in the middle, where the openings for both cupholders meet.

    All buttoned up!

Caked. Will be looking to replace the oil cooler seal in the next month or so before I leave the country for a bit. Truck will be in storage.

    Getting real now.

EDIT: new trans @ 138,520 miles

Just need to hit @zippsub9 back up to get the hub assembly and CVs.

The gold mine of a yard I found these Toyota parts at had a very particular set of skills front diffs, however there was no Goldilocks manual diffs with a 4.10 ratio…there was a 4.10 diff available but it was ADD…so I’ll go ahead and rebuild this sucker myself.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Looking good. If it easier than rebuilding I have rebuilt manual diff tubes to convert that 4.11 diff you found.

I’ve gotta do mine as well. Did you find any oil on the bottom of the bell housing that could be from it? I really don’t wanna do the rear main too lol

It’s probably gone by now, the yard is up past Denver but appreciate that. It’s probably good for me to get some labor work in, seeing as I actually enjoyed rebuilding my supercharger myself.

I haven’t checked the bell housing but I’ll be getting in there when I pull my a340e and will definitely be replacing the rear main at the same time anyways. I’m floating around 250,xxx at the moment.

The conversion will probably take place mid next year after this deployment.
