I stopped by the school and fixed a cart yesterday and was invited back to work on a couch this morning Got that taken care of annnd hey while you’re here look at this chair and another couch. Apparently they have those 3 to change a lightbulb types doing repairs.

 

Just free help or the state is saving me around 2100 a month on insurance so I guess yes

It's so strange to see the flash flooding from the Thunder storms that hit my town yesterday and this morning . My town which is Gallatin Tn has had 2.93 inches of rain in the last 24 hrs .They're forecasting more severe weather for today in the Tennessee valley

Like many of you..... Severe weather is the game right now.

At 430am the tornado warnings went off along with the sirens.
My wife jumped up & bolted for the basement demanding me to bring 325lbs of dogs with me.

The hounds went right down no problem.
The bullydogs? Eh not so easy. They are top heavy & don't like steep stairs on the way down.
They LOVE to climb them. NOT go down them.

By the time I got them in the basement, it was supposed to be on us.
Heavy heavy rain, super thunder/lightning. Phone message said rotational cloud was above & moving ay 70mph..... But it never touched down near us.

We live on one of the highest hills in our county, so usually we can get wind damage but not a funnel landing. They seem to like the bigger open fields down below us.

Wife is petrified of tornadoes. Shes a bit younger than me & didn't grow up here with tornado drills & nuclear attack drills or flash flood drills or even chemical plant emergency drills.

These are all things that were constants for me growing up here.
Had no clue that other parts of the country just weren't prepared for anything at all.

She slept down there in a spare bedroom until she had to go to work.
I went back up to ground level & my comfy bed.
