Pretty disappointing that the 4G seats cater to the big backs, fatter drivers. They're not as comfortable as 2G taco,3G taco or 5G runner seats.

That's all that I came here to say

I am not fat. There is nothing I miss about the 3G especially the seats. That is all I came here to say.

I’m 5’10”, 165lbs and I think the seats in my premium are awesome. They’re supportive and highly adjustable. Love the heated and cooled functionality as well.

"Comfort" is a vague, undefined term.
If you're going to start a thread, why not provide some information such as the precise nature of your discomfort and what your body measurements are? Or even which model you've got?

If anything, these seats are too damn comfortable for my average-build butt.

Since this is a pretty bold condemnation of both the Tacoma’s seats and large asses, I’m unable to agree with OP’s assessment w/o some video evidence of him wiggling around in a Gen4 Tacoma seat while taking a corner.

    Lol. Didn't disappoint.

Some specifics: DCLB Offroad premium with softex.

    I'm 73inches, 175lbs.

    No banana for scale needed.

Oh and specifically the left and lateral side supports are so far apart. Yes, designed for those large, wide types.

It's never too early for friday posts.

15 hour road trip in my 2nd gen wrecked my back. I don't know what you're talking about, but I doubt the 4th gen is worse (never driven one). When I had my 2012 cummins though, now that was comfy.

Bollocks. The 4G seats are an order of magnitude better than my 2G seats were - and my 2G seats were great.

I mean…are any of the 2G-4G Tacoma or 4G-5G 4runner seats that comfy? I think they all kinda suck compared to other vehicles I’ve been in. Lot of other vehicles with worse seats though.

1st gen Tacoma and 3rd gen 4runner seats were cushy, albeit narrower.

It really is a thing in this 4G forum. Too many non-owners posting dumb crap for sure.
