The lack of willingness to self-solve problems and their attention span is cooked and they need drip fed info on a constant loop. All the info is right there at their fingertips but it's not good enough.

@Kwikvette I've given up on ever receiving my JDM power folding Hilux surf mirrors. The USPS claims my friend shipped it with the wrong address but he sent me a photo with the box addressed correctly and he has a customs form receipt with the correct address on it. He's in the middle of a PCS and has higher priorities so I've given up.

If the mirrors end back up at his old base hopefully something can be done then. But the USPS won't even tell me where the package is now after it was delivered in California last month.

If your truck is on jack stands in the garage you will never have to worry about ball joints

Those mirrors aren't cheap either, man I'm sorry to hear

USPS is all sorts of fucked up, and I don't know if it has anything with acting CEO leaving or not

It's just bad all around as of the last 3-4 months suddenly

we live in a world where people of all ages research things by finding sub 30 second toktok or yt shorts videos. seems futile to expect people to search or spend any amount of time reading to find the info in other places :bananadead:

DeJoy was a bad actor put there originally to dismantle it internally and cause reasons for people to think that it should be privatized anyway. If anything I would think him leaving after a small adjustment period would help

my gawd this.... I get calls daily from full grown ass adult humans with questions that they could answer if they just tried a little critical thinking. These people with years of experience must have never stopped being spoon fed or have always just been given a step by step guide through their previous jobs.

I usually just give the most sarcastic, rude answer I can to make them feel dumb.

In general, like many things, I think a lot of the fun is learning something new. Sure it might be annoying and a job you have to do to get your truck running again, but I try and think of doing any work on the truck, or any vehicle, like adult Legos; everything has a place and a system exists to get things where they need to be, just try it before asking.
I don't have the encyclopedic mechanical knowledge that a lot of you all do, hell I don't have fundamental knowledge sometimes, but I also know nobody who does got there by simply constantly asking for things to be laid out for them, same as any other skill or interest.
