Friend of mine told me about these plates for skinning, made one to try out. Same concept, different shape.

Hopefully it’ll work better than the trash can lid.

I put 2 nails in a tree and cut the nail heads off. Then I tear or pull down on the outside toes of the squirrels back feet then slide the back feet through the pads over the nails, works pretty good. I also do the same thing with one of the back feet and run a stick through it to carry them while hunting.

Black squirrel is just a color phase of a Gray. Same species. Hunted a lot of years in the Millersburg/Killbuck area of Ohio. Big Fox squirrels. Woodchucks during the same trip considered a bonus.

Mine was about $100 bucks if I remember. I bought one for each of my boys. It was the perfect platform to teach them how to shoot safely and accurately

People have stopped squirrel hunting around here for so long it wouldn't be fun. When I'm deer hunting they jump up on a tree and watch you walk by.

Kids and I were joking around yesterday and I said what if squirrels had antlers? AI came up with this.

Got 9 Saturday evening on our annual hunt with my good friend and his dogs. 3 more should have died but we got a lot of trees with holes here at the farm. Won’t shoot unless dog trees it.

Almost done refinishing the wood on my father's "squirrel" rifle. Pretty eager to try again this year. Opening day is on his birthday so it's easy to remember. Wish he was still around to enjoy a successful hunt.

I've been seriously considering getting a squirrel dog. I've done a little searching. Anyone have a recommendation on breed and/or breeder?

The best squirrel dog I ever hunted with was a TN mountain curr, and the 2nd best was a pup I got off of him and a feist.
