New shoes for the ol' shitbox today.

Went up to 32in tires - 235/85R16 Firestone Destination XT E load from 245/75R16 Toyo Open County ATIII SL load.
Also secured a 5th oem Toyota SR5 alloy wheel so my spare matches the rest of the wheels now.
Pool noodle mod on the spare tire carrier so that my new sidewalls don't get gouged to shit.

Got the rear suspension done today and will hopefully finish the front tomorrow. It'll sit idle until I can get an alignment done on Friday the 11th when I put new shoes on her.

New tires and wheels (265/70/R17 Falken Wildpeaks and 17x8.5 Method 305s 0 offset). Also took the air dam off (last pic). I'm still in the process of getting rid of the remaining chrome parts.

Winner winner. Pretty dam sure its the HP pump now. Took the stethescope to it tonight and the dam thing sounds like a squealing humming bird and I can hear the change in tone when the engine rpm changes.
Thanks again for bringing that to my attention.

Funny how I was able to pick up some of the sound through the alternator mounts and body more than any other spot I tried but maybe thats unrelated and the alternator is on the way out or I just dont have a trained ear to tell either way lol. I'll try to upload a video once I can confirm that was it.
    Cheers

Looks good i have the same tire and size been pretty happy with them so far. I still need another for a full size spare, how much is the power loss if any from going to the thinner but taller and likely slightly heaver tire. I always wondered what some 245/75/16 AT's would feel like

    Sounds can travel...

Just pop the belt off and see if the noise stays or goes away, very simple and free test...

Many many many moons ago when I worked for a Ford dealer, we had a Ford Lightning with a noise that sounded like the transmission, (new truck) tore the trans down and found nothing wrong, installed it and noise still there, swapped out transmissions and the noise was still there, finally removed the bed and then you could hear it was the rear diff making all the noise, swapped the rear from another Lightning and no more noise, ordered new rear for the donor new truck... lol

Do you have an update on these after putting on some miles and getting a winter on them?

Couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about until I did a search on Tundra RCSB. Totally cool configuration. Back when you could get a full size 4X4 with a regular cab and a short bed stepside/fleetside, that was the hot rig. In the late 70's my sister's boyfriend had a yellow square body 1/2 ton GMC 4X4 350CI RCSB Stepside that I lusted after.
