Made in America aint what it used to be; just go to Walmart on a Saturday night, some of those people are the ones making yer saws. Granted, they only work 3 months at any given place, but Stihl.......

I cut and sold firewood with my dad for about 10 years about 40 years ago. He sold firewood for about 25 years and the only saws he would buy were Poulans. I currently own a 16 inch Stihl, an 18 inch Poulan and a 20 inch Husqvarna. The Poulan I own today couldn’t hold up to the Poulans we used 40 years ago.

Sad what happened to Poulan

 

I had one from 90s worked great and bought new one in MD and i used new one maybe 3 times. Went to start it and it sounded like it was dying...didnt get started and locked up, engine seized up. But it was out of the year warranty. I got so mad i chucked it in the woods..

Like everything else, craftsmanship and quality. I just replaced a refrigerator in my basement that was 36 years old and we have a deep freezer that’s 42 years old and still running. No appliances made today Will last that long.

 

We got that state ABC bullshit here too . . . .
But the dude at my liquor store is cool - has a 4R and a civic so we talk cars [surprise!]

The drive thru liquor stores crack me up!!
