Looks like a hell of a time, glad you made it back safe! I've been creeping on your IG stories and already seen the highlights. Looks like your actual track day was pretty dry, hopefully?

Couldn't have asked for better conditions--especially considering how dogshit the weather was all week. It was sunny, mid 70's and not too humid. Almost felt like home! haha

The track itself was incredible, although extremely physical. Wrestling the bike around at speed in the esses was a real chore. My favorite parts were the stadium section into the triple apex right and the front straight. It's dumb how late you can brake going into the first turn uphill combined with how many fast lines there are through it. The back straight was a little sketchy because there's some elevation change to it that you don't see on TV. There are a couple of subtle crests where, when pinned in 4th/5th, I felt the bike getting unstable.

The surface had just been redone, so it couldn't have been any better on that front. All the bumps seems to have been taken care of and the riders seemed happy with it after being very critical in previous years.

I'll try to find some gopro video that's a least a little bit flattering. I have a clip a Max Biaggi and Marco Bezzecchi passing me in the stadium section like I was standing still, but they're barely in frame.

I bet Max absolutely still rips on the RSV4 considering it was built spec for him, and now has like 60 more hp than in 2009

Took the Harley out for a ride today. Stopped by a job site to see a co-worker (before I retired) that is moving back to AZ. Was a good ride with the new bars. Wrist position was perfect. I also removed the windshield and it’s so much better. Just feels right to be out in the wind.

    School boy high.

I have the 110s and originally had them on but thought they might be a bit tall. Now with the taller seat im not sure they are.

I wanted the control width so the xr50s were too short there

IMG_5234.jpg IMG_5232.jpg IMG_5233.jpg Went out this morning and cleaned all the old media out of my blast cabinet. I ordered some aluminum oxide 80grit. That would work well to prepare parts for powder. I also took the old oven racks and tied them together using hose clamps to fit in the new oven. Added some hangers to the sides to support it. Now I can hang a bunch of small parts and get the powder on them and place them in the oven. Can also lay them flat on top also. The large metal rod up top is for hanging heavier parts (wheels and such). Here are pics of the duct for the air flow. You can’t see the fan but it’s there. I have my powder coating gun and equipment on a small welding cart. I am able to fit it in the oven for storage when it’s not in use freeing up floor space.

Did you get drystars? If not be prepared for wet feet constantly.

I went without drystar. Don’t ride in the rain and wanted them to vent as much as possible.

    808 ALLDAY!!
what's a good photo sharing/hosting website? Had photo bucket, now they charge subscription fees, been trying Imgur, can only get links to post, not actual photos.

Wanna share some new rides photos!!

    Thanks

Its just puddles that will do it, lol. I do like my tech 7s but your feet will be wet if you go through a puddle.

They also do flex a lot, super comfy because they do. But ive been glad ive had my gaernes on a few times
