No I have not been underneath it all winter! To shake it
Could it have been installed improperly?

I feel like 90% of vibrations come down to either CB or wheel balance, 22k on an OEM CB seems way too new for issues though

Original U joints, siezed. Someone just did the grab and shake test, not the remove and rotate the joint in all directions and check for stiffness.

Was the DS I stalled in exactly the same position as the original?

Did they not mark the location when it was removed.

Is the plastic shifter cup/bushing in good shape?

Unfortunatly the fix is going to be difficult to figure out. Motor mounts get hard, rubber deteriorates etc. This might be normal for her at her age. You might try loosening the nuts that hold the motor mounts to the frame a few turns and start the truck and rev the motor a few time to allow the motor to re-settle, then retorque... this is a long shot but it is free.

Look at your tires and find the letters DOT on the sidewall, there are a series of numbers after that, that is the date code, something like DOT 4520 which translates into that tire was manufactured in the 45 week of 2020. It could be as simple as your tires are old and hard.

I did notice some yellow markings on the DS after I got the truck back and was under doing my personal inspection..
So there was an attempt to get that DS properly aligned or an appearance of that happening. (Other things were found done to the truck in the months it sat in the shop that left me scratching and shaking my head a bit)

    Very good possibility there
I can definitely get some new ujoints installed to see if it solves this
If I recall talking to the transmission rebuilder (yota1) a year ago about this vibration in the shifter he also first pointed to ujoints as a likely solution

Yes sir, those motor mounts are original and likely another possible suspect

...Checked on those tires as suggested

Hmm, like I said, this could be tough. Running out of things to check.

I knew a guy who had a VW bug that kept popping out of 4 th gear, fixing the trans was not an option, he solved his problem by screwing one end of a small bungie cord to the tunnel and when in 4th just put the bungee hook on the shifter handle, drove it that way for years.

Don't assume anything with this it could be anything!

I will go back over the past 200k miles.. perhaps it's all related or perhaps it is not at all related
There have been two other oddities in this RPM range 2200 +/-100... Although the other two instances both occurred in 3rd and 4th in this RPM range
Both times it was undiagnosable by the professional diagnostician and had to be driven until one broke into a moving engine fan blade and the other was discovery while dismantling the transmission and clutch parts
A ping ping ping turned out to be a failing crank pulley balancer
And a grind screech grind turned out to be the pilot bearing seizing on the input shaft tip

i did provide one of those Marlin Crawler shifter bushings to replace the original not knowing the condition it was in after 341k miles
and i suppose it was installed and installed properly when it was all put back together, but i honestly don't know lol

    ...

    update...
got under the truck yesterday to check fluid levels and grease the zerks (9 of them) with some pbblaster red tacky... not sure what they were greased with at the shop last year after the reassembly but it sure was not red tacky that was pushed out, and some zerks took more than several pumps of the grease gun before the pop was heard.

then i took note of the wetness seepage still present where the transfer case and rebuilt transmission mate up (gear oil near the bottom with blowoff onto the transfer case housing) i was aware of this from last year when the yota dealershop pointed it out when i Tried to get them to diagnose a concerning decrease in MPG fuel consumption that happened soon after the clutch and transmission work.

i checked the transfer case fluid level and it was good, it dribbled out
checked the transmission fill flug and Nothing dribbled out like the last time i checked it before winter last year, this time i could still feel the level with the bent pinky finger test

i am not real sure what is going on inside of there, it should be sealed up and not weep gear oil??
are these vibrations in 5th gear contributing to this :notsure:

what is the likelihood of the transfer case being the cause of this vibration feedback into the transmission shifter stick?

how might one go about determining if this is possibly the issue :notsure:

    Interesting ^^^^

Sorry I not familiar with 4x4
    But
Exactly how is the transfer case mounted to the body? Are there Tcase mounts?
    Are they rubber?(wearable part)

    IMO
    The Tcase (internals) are fine

It's just attached to the transmission and coupled internally somehow, I am still researching that on the interwebs
No separate mounts for the tcase

The Yota1 shop was not the one to install it, I am over 1000 miles away from their location
How close are you to where they are located?

How much $$ to get the throw out bearing replaced, it could be this awful whiny noise but I really don't know much yet! Don't wish to start throwing parts at it for a resolution but very unclear the direction to go in the present

I'm about 1.5 hours from yota1. Id rent a car nearby for a week while they remove, rebuild and install. From what I've read, they seem to have a good reputation. So I was worried when I read about your issues.

I just had my clutch done a year ago with someone I really like but they have 2 weeks vs 1 turnaround time with yota1.

With my clutch, the pilot bearing was frozen, so was replaced, along with flywheel and clutch disk. They did a great job. Also driveshaft carrier bearing. All noises and vibrations stopped. 400k on original clutch. Should have done the transmission but only have 1 car, so couldn't take the extra time. Paying the price now...
