Anyone else getting Portal 2?

Played and loved the first one from the Orange Box. Can't wait to go out and get P2 today!

 

never played the first one. i heard it was more of just a tournament game, is that correct? mostly multiplayer?

holy balls! i would love to play it, but i see myself getting so frustrated i break down in tears. i may have to rent it and see what its like. as someone who is known to take a toke when playing video games, this may be way too cerebral.

 

Not right away, but yea. Loved the first one.

 

hahaha, i could totally see a bad trip as a result of some of the themes of the game...think hot robotic chick voices, clumsy robots and cake. the end goal is cake.

haha! cake? i watched the part one demo and the robot chick is pretty funny. "I think we can put our differences behind us... for science... you monster". haha! it's even funnier since there is no emotion in her voice. actually, i've been trying to get my wife to get into video games. she likes halo, but lots of stuff is too complex for her to learn the controls. i may see if she wants to try this with me.

 

Portal is one of my top 5 games ever. I can't wait to sit down with Portal 2. Hope my 6 month old can have some mommy time while I dig into this!

 

Got it last night after work...fucking INSANE game!!! Played for 5 straight hours!

 

my roommate and i got the pc/mac version from steam. co-op mode is pretty killer! played for 3 or 4 hours!

Orange box FTMFW, i didnt know they were making a portal 2... hell yea im gonna get it. Also.... why is that song so fuckin addictive.... and why do i have it on rockband?

 

Yeah, the robot commentary is awesome. Tons of subtle jokes and innuendos! There's a point were you're in a 60s or 70s era test area and you're guided by J.K. Simmons' voice - hilarious! There's even some funny Black Mesa/Half-Life jokes.

As far as learning controls for your wife, this is as easy as it gets...Left trigger=orange portal, right trigger=blue portal, A is jump, B is crouch, X is grab/use, RB to "zoom" and the sticks to move. Easy.

 

i saw the attack of the show review. they gave it 5/5 and said "it is the greatest game ever made". they then went on to say, "do not play co-op with someone you love or you won't love them anymore. if you play with your significant other you WILL break up". so apparently i wasn't the only one who had the idea to play with his wife/gf. i'm still gonna try but i hope i dont end up in divorce court claiming "portal 2" as the reason we split

 

i got it for my computer and it is awesome. they really took their time and did it right. crysis 2 looks bomb too on my computer.

 

bwhahahah, I love AOTS. Yeah, I'd for sure give it 5/5. I haven't found a fault yet - except for my own brain being stupid on some levels.
