Honestly I have no idea. I have not touched anything except the front adjusters are fully "soft" on the coilovers

Flex test for clearance check. Clocked the top caps a few degrees to be safe but looking good now. And couldn’t resist at least a quick dash through some whoops and holy cow what a difference in flow on these vs the old shocks. Can really feel the difference right out of the box. Once front end parts are here and I get that all squared away it’ll be time for a proper tuning session and we’ll be eating all the whoops again.

Ran some of the Vegas to Reno course backwards today. Only about 60 mile round trip but it was fun

Just finished up on the Solo Motorsports Tundra Steering rack on my gen 2. overall hardness rating was a 7/10. It was definitely a time consuming job. As many had told me before, it was a process. I was able to easily fit the rack in the correct spot on the crossmember after grinding down the barrels the OEM rack sits on. My truck is a 2wd 4.0 V6 as well that helped with that. Only issue I ran into was with the steering shaft and the frame. After shortening it, it WILL rub and the only ways to fix it is to either notch your frame to fit the shaft.. or to remove the ribbed, crumple zone and re-weld in suitable stock. I opted for the second choice as notching my frame was not something i wanted to do. Overall again, not too bad of an install. If you have prior experience with r&r of a tacoma steering rack it will not be that bad. Just take it slow and catch yourself from making small, detrimental mistakes.

Been MIA for a while now. Works been busy and forgot my TW account password.

Got to take the project truck out for the first time a few weeks ago. This has been too long in the making. Put a lot of time into this project, especially over the past few months.

Wasn't a bad start for just coming off jack stands and heading to the desert 3 days later. Rear shocks were a bit stiff on compression but nothing a quick re-valve can't change.

What material is everyone using for fender liners? My last set was ABS, but ABS is pretty brittle and they cracked a few times. Anyone used HDPE?

Do you have front fenders? I have a set of 4" bulge that need some repair I can pay it forward.
I have a box of tail lights too but I wouldn't waste time with factory lights, just build your own and never look back.

Personally, I would use something like .050 or .063 aluminum. Can be cut with snips, light and easy to form.

I hadn't really thought of that route, but that makes sense.

This has probably been gone over like a gazillion times, but any clearance issues between the JD fab pivot kit, and a basik biker tundra rack? I don't want my coilovers to rub my tie rods (for obvious reasons)

I would know when the rack shifted as the u joint there for the steering would bind on the frame. aka when when the bushings rotated.
