Well if it is indeed local, you're exposing yourself to the pollens in your area to build up an immunity to it

Quick sanity check guys… when you turn on recirculate air on a first gen Tacoma (and have the blower motor off) air stops blowing out of the vents right?

My truck is blowing air out of the vents 100% of the time and I swear I have memory of it not doing that. But it’s been doing so since I reinstalled the engine back in 2023.

I didn't have allergies for years and then POOF -- miserable.

Honey "helps" but tbh I live off Sudafed and whatever else; my asthma becomes a thing too. le sigh.

Yeah but its only pollems from flowering plants. Not grasses and trees that dont flower

so if your issue is mostly from pine pollen you won’t see any benefit from honey

So I sold my F-150 to a friend and his little brother flew down from Seattle to pick it up and drive it home this weekend. Anyway, his little brother was working HVAC but said he was laid off and couldn’t find any work so he’s been working for this arborist cutting down trees.

Just made me wonder what your take is. I assume there is work and demand but maybe not entry level apprentice positions?

    I'm a realist, what can I say.

But I did find some cool hiking 15 minutes from my apartment. Pup is tired, new lens worked great. Think I'll go buy a gun. So it's a good day.

I appreciate that about you. I'm restraining myself in the BS thread, but I really don't want to.

@Bandido if you update your Firecontrol, ensure you confirm it doesn't fuck with your cut heights.

Had to adjust it by .02 on my override. Although it's a moot point if you're using nominal voltage.

In the bay area there is always a lack of competent technicians and companies are always hiring. So it depends on their skill level. But there is always way to much work out there atleast in high population areas, i cant speak on other parts of the country. The comfort cooling side (like home ac) of the industry does fluctuate depending on the time of year vs process cooling side (like grocery stores) which stays busy all year long.

I actually just layoff a guy i only hired 3 weeks ago because i could tell he wasn’t going to cut it. But i hired someone the same day. I was just looking for a tradesmen. But im trying to hire another apprentice right now too.

atleast on the union its alot about reputation. If im hiring a tradesman then i dont expect anything out of them other than you show up to work everyday on time. Now if an apprentice is on the book it makes you ask why, because you cant easily leave a company. Unless the BA and you company agree too because you want to try something else or you get layed off because of something. And i know alot of employers soits easy for me to make a call and go “hey so why doesn’t he work for you anymore”

Then it also comes down to service and construction. Service stays steady because repairs are needed all year long. While construction can be effected by economic situations and weather to say the less

True, but often times people don't really find out what they're allergic to exactly for many years if at all

Need to see a specialist for that
