    Hi guys!
Weird problem, when I activate my left turn signal it also causes my rear left brake, left reverse, and left license plate light up/blink although dimly.

Any thoughts? It just randomly started. The right side works just fine.

I read grounds could be a cause? How do you guys rewire the grounds?

I'm looking at the taillight and the green/yellow wire for the turn signal is not cut or touching anything else.
All 3 white/black ground wires are connected together and look fine. The grounds on the bulb sockets look crusty. I took some jumper wires from those to the body and it didn't change anything.

I do have a factory trailer plug but I don't see a box that other people have mentioned in threads.

    Thanks!

This is a ground problem, clean/replace the sockets and there is no reason why you cant run an additional ground off the factory harness.

Does it have a trailer light adaptor?

The sockets for the light bulbs or the sockets for the plugs? I cleaned plugs for the tail light for the 3rd time and now it appears to be acting as it should.
Would you run a new ground wire for where the 3 grounds meet before to plug to a new location?

    Thanks!!!

I thought I had it fixed after cleaning up all of the wiring and main plug. However I discovered the issue occurred only when the headlights were turned on and the left turn signal was activated.

I ended up taking a wire wheel to the metal housing on the back of the turn signal and brake/running light until they were clean. I then stripped 5 inches of 16ga wire and wrapped it two times around the now clean metal housing for both the brake and signal housings. I then covered both of the now secured copper wires with clear epoxy to prevent oxidation. I then ran those two wires to a spot on the body that I sanded down to bare metal and used a self tapping screw.

    Problem is fixed.

    Thanks!

Similar issue here with a 2002 the brake(running light) light almost looks as if it is not getting enough voltage. Where is the ground that you stripped back and cleaned up? I have played with LEDs and come to find out the wrong halogen size.

I cleaned the actual copper blades within the taillight plug. I believe there are 8 however that wasn't sufficient.

I didn't tap into the OEM ground wire, I made a new one.
On the back of the taillight housing you'll see the two white/black wires which are the ground and go to the turn signal and brake/running light to the plug.
The metal housing that the ground wires are attached to will probably be covered in corrosion providing an insufficient ground.

Use a wire wheel or sand paper and clean off the corrosion on the back of both metal bulb housings. Then strip a few inches of insulation from some wire (I used 16ga), wrap the bare wire TIGHTLY around the metal housing and cover it in epoxy. Then run the two new grounds you just made to the body of the truck ensuring that you strip the paint first and use a self tapping screw with a terminal attached to the two ground wires.
