I was a little worried about our girl. She was lethargic from Thursday night until last night, not even bothering to eat, which is very unusual for her. She spit up a pile of mucus yesterday and the seemed to at least get back to being herself, barking at the delivery man when he walked on our porch. Last night she ate for the first time in days. We are going to try a walk today although the weather is rather raw.

Any chance she ran into a snake? I had a dog bitten by a copper head that went through something very similar. Copper head venom causes an allergic reaction, and a larger animal can recover after a few days.

Thanks for the suggestion. No, I walk her on a leash and it's too cool for sakes to be out in the morning in my neck of the woods. She was wheezing in the days beforehand, and spit up a ton of mucus. I don't think she had something like bronchitis, let alone pneumonia. But at its worst, she didn't even want to drink much. I had to put water on my fingers and then to her lips. She was just lethargic. Now, she's back to herself. we took a nice walk today, the first since Thursday.
