Hello SoCal people. I am moving to Newport/Huntington area in July and am wondering if there are any offroad shops you can recommend? I just bought a 2004 4x4 Dcab and plan on modding it once I get out there. Super excited about the move from FL and have a bunch of friends from college out here. Anyone?! :D

Anaheim, OK, that's not too far away I see... Any shops you could recommend?

You can do alot of the work yourself. Dependable Offroad is in Anaheim and they are good guys. Steve knows his stuff there.

Silverado Canyon was closed as of two weeks ago. Rumor has it it will re-open by July so you should be all good there. Holy Jim in Rancho Santa Margarita is a cool spot too, but I heard that they recently closed down some of it which limits what all you can do out there. As far as shops go, I try and support the TW vendors, but if I need something local I usually just hit up 4 Wheel Parts. Most stuff you can do yourself or at the very least find someone on here to give you a hand.

Ya problem is I don't have ANY tools and hardly any experience installing things of this nature... I will definitely check out Dependable Offroad, I like to try and support TW vendors too!

Good to hear. I like to try and stay away from 4 Wheel Parts stores and support TW vendors as you mentioned. Hopefully I can meet some people and join in on some mod days or something of the sort! :D
