Has anyone purchased any body parts from Ebay. I'm looking at fender liners, front valance, and rear bumpers.

99.99% parts from eBay and Amazon are average imo. Curved and body lines might be slightly off, same for mounting hole. Some modification may be needed for proper fitment. If that doesn’t bothered you, you’ll be fine.

My honest opinion, find yourself a used set that is getting part out in your area.

Here's the ~$100 "chrome plated" rear bumper I got last year.

I would try local scrap yards and CL first, old OE is the way to go for steel.

I know from experience fender liners will not fit worth a poo without modification

    just throwing out there
    On my budget re-vamp
Most cost effective way was spray on liner
I was crazy surprised how good it turned out…..IMG_4066.jpgIMG_3899.jpg

$200 and I took off parts and prepped (tape and covering threads)
This done at a professional spray vendor not done with store bought/roll on product

found a ‘day 1’ before pix when she was towed to me

Bought an Evan Fischer rear bumper just the other day after reading about them in another thread. While it's decently heavy (the OP said something like 46 lbs which is likely the same as OEM), mine came with a few gouges in the face of the chrome. I'll have to reach out and potentially get a different one. I guess it's a bit of a crap shoot, but unfortunately junkyards seem to be pretty sparse on Tacomas which makes it difficult.

I replaced my rear rusting out rear bumper from an Ebay listing it was good deal but the brackets were not exactly as the old ones were, so I cleaned and painted the old brackets

About a year ago I replaced my chrome rear bumper with some knockoff from Amazon...mine was pretty well rusted through and I had been slightly rear-ended. Before installing it, I put undercoating on the backside with a couple layers of primer etc...it looked just fine, that was until winter hit and it got salt on it...literally started showing rust on the chrome side within a week of hitting that salt. I wasn't that upset or surprised since it was so cheap...what I did do however that worked like a charm, was to take some chrome polish, went over it a few times and it's been fine...the polish must have some sort of wax or coating substance in it (very old can found in my garage)...long story short, I have to hit the bumper up about every 4-5 months with that chrome polish and it's fine.
