Tom, there is something called 'the other side'.

 

True, I know someday I will get through all this. I know it is a bit arrogant to hope that I can someday be successful and feel like I have earned the level of a nice life that I have spent a lifetime working towards. I thought I had made it there when we bought our precent house a couple years ago. Time will tell. I can survive in a tiny apartment with no yard if I absolutely have to, but I sure hope that isn't how I end up.

Would you be able to make a go of it as a private contractor?

 

I run into this at times on a BMX forum, someone tried telling me I was wrong about a 1980s bike part that I not only had back when it came out but have currently all the versions of it and pictures of them.

Been told I should ignore one person here but haven't. I refuse to.

It's back to be being less-than-spring like, but no 'naders or 1000 year floods to complain about. I hope that everyone that was effected or was close enough that they needed to throw away those undies is safe and unhurt.

This has become my biggest reason to stop participating in other forums and very few of the sub-topics on TW, although I will say that the few other sub-forums that I participate in on TW, everyone seems to be stellar hoomans and are helpful when the occasional question gets asked.

I can't say the same for the chevy truck forum that I'm on when I had questions about adapting the TBI fuel system to the L31 Vortec long block in the firewood truck. Petty narcissists abound that would nit pick anything that you did, although none of them had actually done the same conversion themselves.

Update on my nephew:

He was discharged and my niece’s boss sent their plane to pick him up because it has a bed in it. He’s home. I think he should be in a rehab hospital but the immediate family wants him home. I hope they are making the right choice.

Great news. Kudos to the boss, class move! I tend to agree on the rehab hospital, but if their doctor is OK with it...

Morning everyone I like watching my local news, mostly for the weather. But occasionally they have a WTF story, today was one. Pot is legal to buy, sell and use in Michigan, you can’t drive stoned, da. You can legally grow it if you register, pay for permits, and play by the rules. Yesterday they busted an illegal grower, huge abandoned warehouse, lights, irrigation. 300 lbs ready for sale and and countless plants. Now there dumb shits are going to jail. They got busted by neighbors complaining about the smell, da , dummies. My neighbor has a legal outside grow, and it does get very aromatic, county sheriff is his neighbor, it’s a strange new world
