I ended up with 40 at my place. Would have liked to go 1 more year to bump up the numbers a bit, but my body told me that's it.
Shoulders and back are toast, left shoulder has permanent damage post surgery. If I went an additional year, I would have been in worse shape than I am now. I least I can still do most things.
No regrets whatsoever.

 

I was a Paid Firefighter/Asst. Fire Chief for 15 years. While I was a still fighting fires I took bad fall off a ladder from 15 feet up and landed on my head with all the bunker gear and air pack on, I was coming down out of an attic. So I have a messed up neck and shoulders, So every time now I get a migraine it ends up in that area. After becoming the Asst. Fire Chief the Politics got involved and I was asked t move on since I wasn't a Yes Man.
So I moved away from that County and back down to the desert where I moved to when I got down here and went to work for the County. After 14.5 working as a Mechanic on the Concrete Floors everyday, My Knees and Back are Worn out. I tore the Legitimates and Tendon in my right wrist and the Doctor I was seeing screwed that all up and by the time I was finally able to see a Specialist for he said it was to late to do anything so now the Tendon is somewhat attached and the Legitimate is just lose in there.
So I know exactly what you are talking about.

Are you aware that Wamogo and Litchfield High merged? Litchfield closed and the Wamogo campus on Wamogo Road is now called Lakeview High School.

 

No I wasn't. Those two Schools Hated each other when I was there. Did they add on to Wamogo? Since I lived in Torrington I had to apply to go there, I wanted to be in the Vo-Ag department is why I went there. It wasn't a Very Big School. Are they still the Warriors or did they change the name?

 

My aunt was the Spanish teacher at Womogo

 

I didn't take Spanish when I was in school never thought I would need it LOL. I moved down here and after going to work for the Fire Department in a Resort Village that fills up with Mexican Nationals on the weekend you think back, Man I should have taken Spanish when I was in High School LOL.

Today the wife and I went car shopping and put a hold payment on a new 2025 Rav4 Premium.

At this time, it's in transit from Canada, expected delivery 4-11 to 4-20. But it's guaranteed ours

So, we can finally finish this unexpected chapter of our lives

Because of my wife's medical needs, we needed a car that is big enough for her wheelchair and related equipment when we need to travel.

You're going to like the RAV 4. We have a 2024 RAV 4 hybrid. Very nice car.

 

We have a 2020 XLE RAV4 not hybrid ,great vehicle so far . My daughter is looking to trade in her Subaru for a RAV4 also . Cheapest ones we are seeing are around $33k .
