Well shit. I'll be in Selma dodging cones with my son in our Mazdas on the 14th.

BTW, as of last night I won't be able to make it to the OTT meet on Sunday as I have to head up to Tulsa for work.

Looking for some local recommendations. I am up in the Leander area looking to build a 2-car garage (approx 24'x36'). Currently in the planning stages. Does anyone have recommendations or good experiences with a contractor for a project like this?

Also looking to possibly add a 2-post or scissor lift to the build. Anyone gone through that process also and have any recommendations for sourcing one?

    Wouldn't you like to know!
You're probably better off finding a local facebook group that has contractors, builders, & home remodelers that can recommend those types of things for the area.

I need to give a shout out to a couple of vendors north of Austin. First up is @Texoma of C&C Chop Shop in Lago Vista who did the performance tune on my taco. The skinny pedal feels like it always should have and I have way more smiles per mile. If you're like me and added bigger e-rated tires (255/80/17), front bumper, winch and skid, I would do this before thinking about any re-gearing. Wish I had done it sooner. Chris is great to work with and very knowledgeable. He also installed my lift a couple years back.

Next up is Buddy's Mufflers in Liberty Hill. They did a great job on my exhaust reroute for $190 and it was done in a little over an hour. I'd recommend these two to anybody looking to make these changes.

Thank you for the shout out. I’m super glad the truck is driving so well for you. And that exhaust work looks fantastic!

I am looking to have the same thing done, how long ago did they do the work and did you have to schedule in advance or did they do as a drive in?

I had it done a couple of weeks ago. I scheduled it in advance, but it was only a couple of days from when I called them.

Need some help in the greater Austin area. I'm WAAAY over due for a 60k service and need some recommendations on where to go. I wish I had the time and space to do the work myself but I don't (which is why I'm so overdue). Any reputable shops that won't look at me like I'm a walking ATM when I walk in? I'd go down to San Marcos or up to Georgetown if I knew the dealership or shop was going to do all of the recommended work with legit parts and not cost a fortune... I am sure the venn pick-3 diagram fits here.

I don't have direct working experience with Round 2 Offroad in Cedar Park, but I went to ask them a few questions around some suspension work and they seemed like a reputable shop. Solid reviews on Google and have done a lot of work on Toyotas it appears. Worth looking into as a potential option.

A few places around town that can handle service work.

Round 2 Off-road near Lakeline Mall. Eric Armendariz or John Stefka are your contacts there.

    Bearden Automotive central Austin

Everything Yota of Texas near Kyle/Buda

Fast Lane Auto Service in Copperas Cove

then my favorite little shop that loves old Land Cruisers, AJ’s Yota’s in Cedar Park.

Whoever you use, tell em Chris from Triple C sent you and they’ll take excellent care of you.

I appreciate this offer, there is a guy with a pro set take off that I am going to try and coordinate up with, but I will reach out if something falls through.

I don’t think there is any difference in leaf springs between trim models. SR5 leaf packs should be exactly the same as Sport, offroad, and Pro.
