After wrestling the tire trying to get the bead to set, I had to jump the battery. But, once it had some juice, it fired right up :D

Scotts 25Hp riding mower. 7 years and counting.

funny i found this thread since i cranked mine last night. i have an early model Toro Wheel Horse riding mower. its been sitting for about 5 months. i didn't drain the gas, winterize it, or anything. I went out yesterday and turned the key and it cranked up just as easy as my truck. I was positive i'd need to jump the battery, or clean the gummy gas out of the carb but it cranked like a champ. went to cut the yard and noticed both front tires are flat :(

Didn't need it yet, but our riding Craftsman started on the first crank, with no winterizing done at all last year. I then proceeded to take it '4 wheeling' through the snow patches that were still on the lawn...yee-haw!!

let the glow plugs warm up and fire this baby up. granted it hasn't sat much all winter, but its also my mower. Now the push mower and trimmer, well they are still sleeping but I did change the oil in the push mower.

I had a Wheel Horse.... the damn thing threw a rod right out the block. it was going to cost some crazy $800 to get a new motor. I took it to the scrap yard instead.

was it an actual wheel horse or a Toro? mine is a Toro wheel horse, but i'd love to get my hands on an original WH. hopefully mine will be ok. it has the upgraded Briggs OVA motor. everything i read about it was very positive

It was the Toro Wheel Horse. Forgot about the true W.H. Mine had the Briggs OVA as well. Not sure what happened! We bought it from my neighbor (who is that guy that THINKS he can fix things..... almost like Krazie SJ ). He could have done something to it so who knows! I read pretty good reviews on it as well. How old is yours? The one I had was a 98 or something.

I learned the hard way with my John Deere LA 110 Automatic riding mower. I always charge up the battery before trying to start it. Works every time!

First pull and the lawnmower was running... Now the leaf blower was a different story, I think I primed + pulled on it for about 30 min. I was getting really pissed. It would start and run for about 15 seconds then stall. I was tempted to chuck it into the street and get a broom but on the last try it started and stayed running. It ran like shit but atleast it stayed running long enough to blow off the sidewalk/driveway.
