What bothers me is the dealer I bought my truck from specifically told me they do not service the tranny. I also called the next closest dealer and was told the same thing. I checked with two different independent tranny shops in my area and both told me they do not service that tranny, but might attempt a rebuild. What the hell !!! A fluid change on the tranny is not something I want to attempt myself. I’m at 30k right now, so I got time to figure out how to get that done when the time comes. How much fluid is in the tranny right now ….. I got no idea !!!

They are technically not sealed transmissions, they are dipstickless transmissions, they have their good points and bad points, and there is also no such thing as lifetime fluid, only fluid that can/will last for the life expectancy of the transmission, which is typically 100K miles in general, but they can/will go much longer... But the life of a vehicle from a manufacturing standpoint is around 100K miles, and they hope by then, that you will buy another vehicle from them...

The 3rd gen Tacoma transmission AC60E(F) is a RWD based transmission, the (20??) Camry uses a FWD based Transaxle (FWD transmission), only the gear count is the same basically, and they are not interchangeable...
My daughters 2017 Corolla has a CVT and is also a dipstickless transmission, IIRC 2014 or 2015 was the 1st year for the Corolla's K313 CVT and only the very basic Corolla's got the U341E 4 speed auto trans...

With a dipstickless transmission, if serviced correctly, the ATF level will be perfect, where as a dipstick trans can easily be over/under filled and cause damage, plus not having a dipstick helps from having the wrong fluid introduced into the system causing damage...

Installed my Auxbeam and my Midland GMRS Radio.

Built the brackets for my circuit breaker and the fuse block. Nobody makes them for a 6MT. Used ABS sheet, heated it and bent it and then attached it using the same bolts as the clutch fluid reservoir. I messed up and drilled the holes for the positive cable to the sides so the cover doesn't fit on...deciding what I am going to modify, the bracket or the cover.

Also built the bracket for the ghost antenna for the GMRS and attached it to the ditch light bracket. It flexes a bit but it's not going anywhere and works fine so far. I may remake it out of some steel I have laying around but I didn't have time before our trip and the ABS was fast.

Used the OEPanels mount for the display. And the mount for the radio is TacoGarage DMM. The main part of the radio is behind the dash.

    Sing it!

Truth. The sadness is real. I'm from SF Bay Area so I am at ground zero for all the internet content.

What is Florida Man? I'm a fan of Florida as well. (EDIT) Looked it up. Makes perfect sense after some of the things (people) I've experienced down there. I got a story about Naples...

Haha. Busted. Only photo op. Actual fire/logging roads were out behind Solvang near Alisal Ranch. And I did venture, very carefully on to the noob area at Pismo. Chickened out though.

I'm from NoCal, love CA, and also a huge fan of Florida; what's funny is that Naples is one of my favorite places in FL.
But having lived in HI for so long, I'm just a fan of hot humid weather, anywhere.

Installed the Clazzio rear seat covers today. Installation was much easier than the fronts.

Dude. My story is everything Florida Man. It involves hillbillies, beer, cut off jean shorts, smokes, mullets, nekkid people, hotel pool, a giant locust, more smokes, blood on a mirror, shag carpet, lightning storms, gators, sleeping in our clothes, and a sunrise retreat back to Disneyworld after a very Florida night in Naples....its rad.
Also love me some HI. We try and go every year. I always bring a skateboard and hand it off to one of the local kids before I leave. They stop mean mugging the pink Haoli, at the skatepark, once I do that.

This is a recurring thing I keep seeing. Regarding the lower bolts, what is the benefit for doing this over OEM?
