The same shit everyone else has.
    What did you use exactly?

I tried “tinting” mine red, but the film I used was too dark and made it hard to read.

For the deadener I used Amazon brand. This article shows it’s as good or better than some of the more common brands (Dynamit, kilmat) at a cheaper price:

    https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/resources/what-is-the-best-sound-deadening-material-independent-testing-data/

Amazon sound deadener (36sq ft): $50
Aggsound 157mil closed cell foam (36sq ft): $39
    Soundsulate 1lb MLV (40 sq ft): $130
    Generic deadening rollers: $11
    Replacement trim clips: $13
    Total: $243

I also had roughly $315 in speakers, speaker mounting brackets, and speaker harness adapters. Maybe a year and a half ago I upgraded the head unit, which doesn’t have the power of an amp but it made a big difference in sound to the factory speakers. With these new ones I have to turn up the volume even more, so I’m not sure if the factory head unit can handle it. The head unit was $500 which included the dash mounting kit and wiring harness. So up to this point my “sound overhaul” is at about $1000. I may deaden the floor and headliner someday and add an amp, no plans for a subwoofer.

Very similar to what you did and, come to find out, having very similar results. Looks good at night but pretty dark during the day. Debating if I want to keep it on or not.

My aftermarket shorty antenna broke off in the car wash ( its probably 10-12 years old ) so I ordered another from Amazon . Grabbed what was left of it on the fender with pliers and the stud was rusted and it snapped off :annoyed: looks like no radio in my truck . I have no clue what to do . Mechanicly challenged :anonymous:

It's not the worst to replace, I removed mine because of how corroded it was and put a plug in its place. IIRC there's one or two bolts in the fender holding the assembly on, then a wire running from it to a plug. It's been a while since I took mine off.

Remove the front tire & wheel well liner and unbolt the mount from underneath. Replace with a salvage unit. Glass mount antennas get mixed reviews, probably because they work best where everything works best. Or switch to satellite radio.

I made some progress today on the rear wall. Got the auxiliary power panel mounted with some threaded inserts.

All the Big wiring up next.

Ordered a set of Husky X-Act Contours for my Tacoma last week. I had a set of Weathertechs in my old CR-V and I always hated how slippery they were when wet. I received them today and they were missing the carpet screws that hold them in place, so I messaged the seller on Amazon to have a set shipped to me. They responded really quickly and instead opted to give me a full refund, so I now have a set of floor mats for a grand total of $0!

Ignore the dirt, I forgot to take a picture before I got in

On my 2015 the studs that go through the holes are part of the truck.

Finally got my anytime camera system installed and working. Mounted the radio and put the dash pieces back in. Also reinstalled the glove box.
Going to put down a little sound deadening and then reinstall the center console.

I changed the oil with Kirkland synthetic 5w30 with a Toyota oil filter and greased the drive shaft (5 zerks). I guess getting older I dislike lubing the driveshaft more and more, I even have a Milwaukee grease gun. In any case, I think the zerk on the front driveshaft, under the heat shield, is bad. Anyone have a link to the right zerk replacement? Thanks

You can swap out the entire antenna assembly. It's not that hard to do. Cosrs like $60. Totally worth it too. Hardest part is removing the fender plastic. After that it's reach in there and plug and play.
