I bought the Redline Quicklift Plus system (no drill).

I’ve read thru the instructions and watched a YouTube video, but wondered if you had any specific advice on installation- I may have time this Weekend and thought I would ask.

    TIA

I had to return mine. On my 2025 SR5 the negative terminal of the battery has a plastic battery voltage monitor, IBS I believe it's called, attached sticking out toward the fender. The 2024 they show in their video instructions does not have it. So I'm not sure if it's a change for 2025 or if it's trim specific. In any case the strut on that side will not fit with that sensor there. Here's a pic of mine with the strut bracket in place. Totally won't work. I know your hybrid set up is different but I would check clearance on everything before you start.

I installed on my hybrid in about 10ish minutes. Just don't drop a bolt down into the belly of madness. IIRC, I just reused all the factory bolts.

Um maybe you should let a pro handle it if you need tips for this install ;)

It is about as easy as it gets so if you aren’t ready for this then let someone else do it.

Man, they are quick to update things. My '24 SR5 with upgrade package doesn't have the extra connector on the negative post. Interesting.

The hybrid 12 volt battery under the back seat has the same configuration on the negative terminal as your vehicle.
The plastic piece under the negative connection can be removed, and the battery monitor connector can be rotated about 45 degrees, but that still won't give enough room for the hood strut on your truck.
I removed the negative cable and also the black plastic piece on the underside of the connection on my hybrid 12 volt battery to check it out.
The black plastic cradle piece can be pulled off.

But, a battery extender could work in your situation. I think that your cables might be long enough so that the connection could possibly be rotated out of the way using a terminal extender.IMG_0263.png

Plastic cradle under hybrid 12volt battery terminal. Pulled it off bottom of negative connection to assess rotation.IMG_8859.jpg

Anyone else have this battery sensor on the negative terminal? I checked Amazon to see if Redline updated application information for the struts and there are now reviews from people with 2025's who don't have the sensor mine does. So I'm wondering why I have it and some don't.
