Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

Just championing morale here

 

My ROTH IRA is telling me something, idk what it is just yet, but it might be telling me to make a brokerage account and/or an individual investing account and sell covered calls

 

For context I'm 50 and trying to hoard money for the nest egg.
And I don't even think the market is down.

The Dow is higher now than the peaks of the last 10 years.


The S&P is higher now than the peaks of the last 10 years.


And the NASDAQ was only a tad higher than today back on 11/11/2021.


Guys and gals, even when you adjust these numbers for inflation, we are still better off today than we have been in a long time. But panic sells eyeballs to advertisers more than anything so they only show you this view where it slid 300+ points in a day. OHHHHHH NOOOOOO!


Trust me - any time the media feeds you something and it ilicits an emotional response from you, the first thing you need to do is challenge it and go validate it or debunk it. I don't care what the source is, if you have money tied to this thing you owe it to yourself to check it out with your own eyeballs and you need to have a Financial Advisor that is a Fiduciary. A lot of these guys are car salesmen moving paper.

The wife and I take opportunities like this to buy in.

 

Bingo, could it drop another 10-30% sure. But in the long term you’ll be happy you were able to dollar cost average throughout it all.

 

Someone that gets it. These outgoing trends show that the 3 major markets, well at least for the S&P that I can speak on, can only go up. These circumstantial dips are only par for the course and will recover.

In a perfect world, on Oct 9th when you originally posted this, we should have gone all in. NVDA was $13 (Yes I know, the split and all that). Still worse returns than GME on the same 5 year though...
