V6 1GR catless exhaust recommendations

Running catless here with the URD headers and URD performance y pipe on a 2015 gen2.5 Tacoma. It sounds terrible….annoying rasp at 3000rpm. I was using the optional but stock TRD muffler then welded on a 18” magnaflow. Better, but not great. Pulled that 18” and put in a 22” magnaflow. Better, but still not great. Still rasping. I don’t mind loud, but I hate raspy. Is anyone here running a similar catless setup (and yes I’m throwing codes still even with defowlers). Specifically is anyone running the funky mark4 from URD? All help appreciated!

Did you by chance ever get this figured out? How bad did it really sound? I am looking for some headers and a mid pipe and I don’t have emissions where I live. Would you recommend? Just doesn’t seem like I can find a whole lot of options.

 

It’s still unresolved. Gadget finally called me and we talked at length about it. I’m awaiting his new specU system which would require me to replace the $700 brand new y pipe of his I’m running. Either that or put in a mark4 from the y pipe back. He claims the specU will solve all sound issues. Remains to be seen. If you are interested I’ll sell you the y pipe when/if this system comes out (supposedly 1600$)

I have not and you are correct there are very few opinions out there. If you want my new y-pipe I will sell it to you and be the guinea pig for the spec-U system which is 1700 bucks!

 

I have been eying the Subzerofab Y- pipe, what y pipe are you offering to sell me?

 

I have the URD pipe. I have been reading about subzeros and it sounds amazing. But this y pipe I have is cheap, and newish, if ya want it

Supposedly he just came out with it late last year. Are you SC or NA? Gen 2 right? Weird. Steve is a man of very few, if any, words.

 

I’m N/A just for a little longer and 2nd gen. Comparing my exhaust from underneath and the ones on the site…identical.
