Hi Crispy, are you on any lifts or is this stock suspension? What offset? I prefer a little poke but this is nice too.
Did you have a lot of rockchips on your previous truck with poke?

    Thanks.

Stock suspension. I believe these wheels are +47mm. No rock chips on this truck, or my previous 2021.

Thanks. I feel like lot of people with aggressive offsets are not too worried about rock chips on the side and rear quarter panels..

And I am definitely not one of them. Can't afford new rims at this time though. Need to burn through the Nitto's SETD put on my Yoda before purchase. I might get the leading side of the rear quarter panels coated in vinyl protectant though.

Found a set of these after watching my local
FB marketplace like a Hawk. These had about 1800 miles, so got the tires and wheels as takeoffs from a new 2024 Sequoia TRD Pro. Had them installed today and they look great on bronze as well.

Tire size is the OE Falken Wildpeak AT3w in 285/65-18. Considered a 33”, they’re almost exactly the same size as the 285/70-17 tires I took off. These Falkens come with only 7/32nds tread depth when new, so they’ll be a short-lived tire. The wheel is 8” wide and 27lbs. I expect my mpg will go up as the wheels are lighter and now just tucked into into the edge of the fender flare.

Super happy with the style and look. Thanks @CrispyTacoLover for posting these up.

I think these wheels look better on the Tacoma than the Tundra.

Can I ask how much the wheel change has affected your gas mileage?

On mine, about 1 mpg lower. The larger load E tires are quite heavy.

On mine, my mpg has increased about 1-1.5mpg because the tires are inside the wheel well and the BBS wheels are significantly lighter. The OE Falkens are a lightweight tire also.

What does that tire weigh? My 265/70/18 KO3 is 57 pounds.

    IMG_1047.png I’m
The guy at the shop that did the install was telling me that these Falken Wildpeak AT3w tires that come on the Tundra and Sequoia only have 7/32” tread and are a softer compound so that they’re quieter. They’re an SL rated tire, too. Mine have a couple k miles on them, but are basically new and I expect to maybe get 10-15k out of them. They ride super nice, smooth and quiet though at 75-80mph on the highway.

An aftermarket AT3w in 285/65-18 SL weighs 50lbs, my guess is that these would be 47-48lbs.

How’s the ride with the E load K03s?

Rides fine at city and freeway speeds. I haven’t been on dirt, mud, snow or ice yet. I have been in the rain but really haven’t tested them yet. Rain traction is very important in the south.

Happy with the purchase so far.

I don’t… I have a scale in my shop, I’ll pull one of them or off and weigh the wheel and tire combo. Everything I have found shows that they’re about 27lbs.

My mpg has gone up significantly with this wheel and OE tire setup. I was averaging 17-17.5mpg went the aftermarket Black Rhinos and 285/70-17 Ridge Grapplers and am now averaging 19.5-21mpg on the same daily commute. The Black Rhino setup was ~78lbs per corner.

Does anyone ever reset their speedo with tire/wheel size upgrades and is there even an easy way? I went from the stock SR5 17s (245/70 R17) to 18s (265/65 R18 Trail-Terrains) and I figure my speedo is 5-6 percent off. My wife had an early 2000s Volvo for years and I used to use an early Carista type OBD app on an old laptop to reset the speedo seasonally when swapping winter and summer tires. Was easy because it just listed the tire size options. Was it accurate? Who knows? But it made me happy. Any options for our Tacos?

Can corroborate. But, my butt is on the insensitive side. Snow and rain on road no problem unlike previous K02. Works great on southwestern rocks. The lizard part of my brain is glad to have the extra beef there. Haven't been serious mudding yet. Hopefully never.

Good to see someone did their homework and went aggressive with the offset.

For anyone interested, these guys like the Discoverer, YMMV:
