Ozark and a few other spots are where we will probably be trailering the 350z for drift events. Not any places nearby anymore....

Need to pull the steering pump off and take it apart. Might know what the issue is but it's staying in the garage for now. The 250 is a 7.3 with a bigger turbo, injectors and a hydra tuner. Had to pull the oil cooler off and reseal it and I fucked that up to the point I almost blew the engine, got it back together and now I just need to flush the engine and cooling system. And it's..........a bit crusty

    depends depends lol.

but in reality the reason for the swap is its cheaper to do a gen 1 with gen 2 part swap and get all new front end parts then it is to get lets say a bilstien 6112 with 5160s and all new front end parts plus rear parts. now for the body parts and axle and diff ehhhh we dont count those for current parts of the swap lol.
ahh i gotcha on the taco. the 7.3 is a good engine thou is it a 90s body or 2000s? if my memory is right they had the 7.3 for a few years on that rounded body style. and how crusty?
oh come on man you might summon him again!

It's a 2000 Lariat. Well.......it came from Wisconsin so......pretty crusty. The bed is half metal and half wood. Outside is metal, the inside is wood (smells nice though) rocker panels and doors were "fixed" by cutting the rot out and........riveting new steel on. If I decide to keep it it'll become some type of restoration project but I'm leaning towards selling it and either look for another less crusty 7.3 or get a 2500HD with either the 6.0 or the 8.1

Edit: also to add, I drove my dad's 2500HD with my trailer up there, hooked the trailer to the 7.3 and put the 2500HD on the trailer and it didn't complain one bit. The only hiccup I had was it wouldn't start when I stopped for fuel and turned out one of the connections was loose on the starter. Didn't realize that until I had a tow truck come out and the guy figured it out. Don't know why I didn't think about checking. Oh wait......sleep deprivation

oh dang that does sound crusty! if you could find a clean cab and just flatbed the back then id say keep it but that also depends on how bad the frame is.

the 2500hd 6.0 personally i never liked towing with it when my grandfather owned his 09.. it was a nice truck when he got it but it was also just kinda meh overall and didnt tow that great compared to my dads durmax we have.

damn haha thats always the worst!

    Well........yeah
My dad's 6.0 so far has towed pretty decent. Towed the tacoma with it, my forester and my uncle's tractor. Not a single complaint from that truck. The only thing I don't like about chevy is their weak IFS. I'm leaning towards finding another 7.3 with a blown/fucked up motor for cheap and just do a swap and harvest everything useful off the Lariat and scrap the rest of it

Ya that is fair the 6.0 we had towed everything fine I just personally never liked towing with it lol.

Welp you heard him everyone time to find random not rusted out 7.3s for cheap to spam him with until he does it!

Copart is your friend. Set up a free account and and look for the 'no license required' auctions, otherwise you need a dealer's license. Once you're in that category you can search by damage type, run and drive, etc.

Depending, you may walk away with something super low, or someone will out bid you and you won't have to worry about it.

I forget the magic # but you can bid up to a certain amount without putting any money on your account.
