Are those bushings you installed two piece or how do you get the grease from the zerks where it’s needed?

I have a set of my original Toyota arms I am about to do this to.

Which lower ball joint did you use?

Were the White Line bushings difficult to push in?

After I pressed the bushings in, I just drilled a hole all the way through the arm and bushing.

OEM ball joints sourced from ebay overseas.

Bushings were a little bit of a trick, but once I got the press setup right they went easy.

Where does the old grease exit when you pump in more?

You need to loosen the cam bolt, and then it comes out either side of the bushing.

My guess would be no. They use different size bolts/sleeves between the gens

Don't mind me I'm hopping in here because the 4Runners mid travel thread sucks.

Anybody been able to compare 8112's to 6112's on their trucks? Mainly looking to see how much speed they were able to gain by adding the bypass bits.

How necessary/important/suggested is welding up the holes in the LCAs?

I am rebuilding a set of Toyota arms (Toyota ball joints, White Line bushings) and deciding if I will weld up the holes or not.

If you're worried about that, you're in the wrong thread. :p

No idea. I just had the welder going and decided to do that. I also live in a dry climate, you may be better off with drain holes in GA. :notsure:

You’re fine, I’d be worried about warping with the heat at that point if filling it with weld.

I have a base 2nd gen with 4wd. It is upgraded a good bit with 6112 and 5160s + other little things. I'm trying to do mid travel and sticking with the theme of cheap truck. Cheaper mid travel aka under 1k setup any good suggestion and should I make a build thread.

Does anybody have any Uca washers for aftermarket arms left over? For icon but most are the same

For those of you that have limit straps on your front mid travel set ups, how much of or at all does the double nutted clevis with spring float upwards when you have uptravel?

Hey guys, I couldn't figure out the clunking noise on my truck 2013. King 25001-119A. 2.5 front coilover with kibbetech UCA, OEM lowers (put new ones on when I updated the suspension)

Clunking come from driver side front when it's unloaded. Meaning when I am turning left (truck leans to the passenger side), driver side suspensions unloads (less compression on driver side when turning left) If the road surface is uneven, that's when the clucking noise happens when suspension is unloaded and going over bumps.
Passanger side is fine, no noise, only driver side does this. Visual inspection didn't show any signs of abnormal things...

Any ideas on where the noise is coming from?

You sure it's the suspension and not loose LCA cams? I was getting some intermittent clunking when turning moderate to hard driver (mostly in reverse backing into my carport, but also intermittently when making U-turns), and it went away when I installed new LCAs with new OEM hardware.

Lca tabs are most likely loose

I will have to double check that, it did get new cam hardware and new lowers, cause the old ones are seized up there.
