My wife ordered two sets of headphones while we were on vacation, so approximately March 5th.

They charged us but never told us they were back ordered. She contacted them 2 weeks ago asking where they were at. They apologized and refunded us 15%.

I received a tracking number so I was watching where they were and knew they were on the way.

Two days ago they emailed asking if we'd received them yet. She handed me her phone and I sent them a reply saying "Thank you for checking but no, we haven't." They'd been sitting 4 miles away for 3 days transitioning from the shipping partner to USPS.

They responded back with "Please give it a few more days. For your trouble, we'd like to offer you a 15% refund."

Last night I sent back "Just to clarify, is that in addition to the 15% we were refunded for not being told they were backordered?"

    I haven't seen a reply yet.

Keep this up and I might get them for free.

Too bad the tracking has finally uploaded and they're supposed to be delivered today....

    Maybe.

When I was over at the Mac guys house the other day I ask him about these feeler gauges he had in a bag. He said most people don't know what they are. He said it wasn't a set, there were a lot of the same ones. He said there's enough for you and me, take them home and sort them out and give me back what you don't want.

There were 2-4 of the same ones so he's getting a lot back, I get some, and Cole gets some.

He also gave me 2 handles, one for me and one for Cole.

I've never seen longs ones or a handle. He said the handle was for engine builders, put one gauge for intake valve and one for exhaust. I'm assuming the intake goes on the blue side and the exhaust on the red :D

That Fairlane has a fairly uncommon engine these days, the 260 V8, introduced in mid 1962 and phased out at the end of 1964. About 604,000 engines were produced which sounds like a good amount until you compare it to the replacement engine the famous 289 with 4,300,000 between 1963-67.

I bought this indicator the other day from him, it's supposed to be for rotors while on a vehicle. Works great on the lathe, used it twice already.

I knew a guy when I was younger who was a little..............odd. He came by one day in his Ford Ranger and it was dripping oil. I said something to him about it and he said I know, I don't have the valve cover on it right now o_O

Mahi mahi, the other white meat. I like it blackened on a sandwich with a fresh mater.

That 289 engine Ford made had a beautiful purr to it. Friends dad growing up had the 64.5 convertible mustang with it in it. Red paint, white top, red interior :headbang::headbang:

Early morning rocket fueling, glad I'm on the outside of the suit these days...

Are the tanks O2 for the encapsulated suits? I thought the bumps on their backs would be O2 generators or scrubbers.

Good observation the bottles are 78%-21% mixed breathing air and are for ingress and egress only. No work is performed on the bottle, per specific Nasa instruction.

The buttons you see on the back of the suit come unsnapped and expand to be used with what we call an ECU, which provides air inside the suit and is more mobile. Or you can use the suit snapped up connected to a hard-line stationary air source, typically a tube bank truck or a k bottle manifold.

I got it now. I was thinking what a pain it would be to have to work while carrying the tank around.

If you kept walking without the tank, you wouldn't have to work anymore :anonymous:
