Really wasn't a hard task at all.. I sat the back on my tool box lifted and got the 2 front started.. then the middle ones.. a 5 min job if i had my impact to snug them.. the dealership put the oem Skidplate on with a 1/2" impact lol they where on gooddddd

 

We've had Start/Stop button since 2017...wife's Elantra introduced us to it as well as AppleCarPlay and 7" touch screen.

It was a good thing we had push start because Hyundais (& Kias) with key start were getting hot-wired/stolen!

I got it with my 2021 Sport and was already use to it so the transition was seamless.

BUT....you keep ranting!

 

Decent score tonight on MP, about 10 miles away. Stihl 290 Farm Boss. Nice shape, runs great. It's past time to refill the wood shed. I went though about 4 cords this winter.

 

Are those **insert gasp** crank windows??

 

And matching manual door locks and a vinyl bench seat!

Oddly enough, the bench seat is more comfy then the buckets in the Taco.

I’m not talking about start/stop button… that is great. My 2020 Sport has it and I love it! Totally agree!!

Im speaking of the start/stop feature on the driving aspect. Like when you are sitting at a red light and the car automatically stops the engine from running, and starts back up once you tap the gas… this feature I despise!

 

my wife’s car has it and it’s turned off first thing after we start. Camry is a hybrid so it goes into electric mode.

The auto on/off is stupid but they’ve had it as a feature for over 20 years. I seem to remember my buddies early 00s or late 90s Corolla having it.

 

I know on some models and trim levels they have the able/disable button as an option… there are some companies out there that make a jumper style cable that’ll basically disable it permanently. Or at least until it’s manually reengaged. Also, modules that plug into the OBD port.

We had a customer buy a new Highlander with the smart/stop a few years ago and the stupid salesperson neglected to tell them about it. They were at a light and it shuts off. The customer freaks out and then has it towed in. Once it was explained to the customer that is was normal they felt better and a bit embarrassed. But still the fact it happened was just wrong. Another reason why I hate salespeople.

Well I'm five year's late... i tend to always do this with new vehicle's I've everything ordered that i want as of now.. still thinking about setting up a OTT tune need to drive someone's 1st before i fall into that trap again..
