I got to start a "Savings Challenge" to put money away.

I estimate at least $4K-$5K to begin...probably start with $4K.

In 12 months, I'd have to put away $333 per month.

$3K would be $250 per month.

I'm looking to be economical but acceptable factor choice in Wheels/Tires.

Looks good Ed. As mentioned, you just need wheels and bigger tires. Current OEM tires look too small now due to the lift and fender flares. Anyhow, how does it drive with the lift compared to before? Nice looking loaner they gave you.

    OMG!

Jan, the lady who processed the paperwork for the Loaner was impressed with my 3rd Gen.

She liked the "shiny bolts around the fenders", as she put it.

When we did the walk through/inspection of the Loaner, I told her about the automatic lift gate...she was impressed and happy that I brought it to her attention.

I truly like the fact my set-up looks out of proportion...makes it look very unique...up until I get new Wheels/Tires.

I was thinking 275/70R17s but seriously considering 285/70R17s.

Not really interested in going any larger than 285s but I get reminded by another truck guy to go with 33s.

I will enjoy the firmer ride...definitely feel the difference in these Bilstein 5100s!

Lovin' the Drive to Work on a Friday!

My Sporty is handling those turns much better now...very noticeable.

    I went to Lowe's again for some Top Soil (20lbs) 10 Bags + 2 small bags of Weed/Feed (15lbs) .

The back end went from 23.25" to 22.5" measured from center of wheel...with roughly 230lbs on tail end.

Front pretty much stayed around 22.5".

The drive with weight was definitely much better with the new suspension.

Alright, time to watch the Dodgers vs Phillies! :)

    Welp,

Not sure how much this picture proves why my braking felt different...

In any case, I am having this corrected tomorrow.

The U-bolts aren't seated properly in the bracket thus creating a wear point instead of sitting flat and carrying an even load point.

    upload_2025-4-8_14-14-41.png

You can see where there is a curved winglet to seat the U-bolt. 1EA per side was not seated properly.

    Arrived at dealership about 10:15am.

Service Rep said roughly 90 mins or less for Fix.

I also asked for print out of my alignment results.

For some reason...the truck felt/drove better!

Maybe it's all in my mind...IDK.

Only thing that stayed AND I noticed after the install was the braking feel in the front.

Can't put my finger on it but maybe it's just me...I'll need to inspect the brake pads.

Planning on doing an Oil Change tomorrow at 1pm.

That Auto Hobby Shop on Dover AFB is only open 3 days a week now: Thu/Fri/Sat.

I'll head back to the Toyota Dealership here in Dover on Friday for another Tire Rotation/20 point inspection for $29.99.

My CARFAX is updated with the service and I add the oil change/self service.
