Mine shipped with one of 4 carpet screws and wouldn't fit unless I took the OE floor mat hardware out.

Had a bunch of spare wood lying around and figured why not. Plus if you look up people are selling fishing rod holders for these trucks for like $100+

New seat covers (both installed after this picture) - wandering around Walmart last night with my five year old, she saw them on a clearance shelf for $17 and made an audible gasp - so now I have saddle blanket seat covers in the truck.

im not sure if this will help in your situation but when my antenna snapped off and left only the threads of the antenna with nothing to grab onto to loosen.
I got a reverse direction drill bit (left handed?) and it zipped right out.
it’s not clear to me from your post if it’s only the antenna that broke, or the whole assembly on the fender? But if it was just the antenna I would give that a try

I learned my lesson to never buy aftermarket housings. I was able to snag some OEM smoked housings online. Ceramic coated them before installing. Night and day difference!

Ignore the nasty pollen truck lol.

Those old ones are crazy!!! I have a pair of ebay ones, hopefully they last a little longer. My thinking is that I can replace them at least 6 times before they cost the same as an OEM pair, so I haven't gone for the OEMS yet.

Yeah the OEMs were not cheap but the old ones were cracked so I didn’t want to waste time trying to restore them. Bit the bullet and I feel good about it hahaha, wallet doesn’t though

I bought OEM ones last year too. Replaced the pos aftermarket ones. Not cheap but not outrageous either. Like you said night and day difference!

It is an aftermarket antenna that came with different size studs . The stud that goes into the antenna housing on the fender broke off inside . I thought about drilling it out

over the weekend, I replaced lower control arms, wheel bearings and tie rod ends on both sides, steering is so much better. Next, replace top hat insulators and UCA's on both sides.

Has anyone ever seen a ratchet style spare tire hold down mounted on top of a Decked system in a Tacoma? I'm making some changes to my setup, have the Decked system on the way, and I have this idea to use one of those 3-point ratchet style hold downs. I'd have to drill through the top of the Decked platform to bolt it on and I'm concerned about the bolts interfering with the drawer.

Why not just bring flat straps up from the tie down rings in the front before installing the DECKED, or just use the tie downs that run in the track? This is what I do when carrying my spare on top of my drawer bed system. Though mine is essentially a 4 point ratchet system. I believe that with DECKED, it is only recommended that if you do drill into it, that it is only into the top of one of the metal tubes, for strength and to maintain waterproofing. Plus I would imagine if you drill through just the plastic it may not hold up against the force exerted by moving.
