Whelp, with tax refund money coming soon, back on this - WTB 3rd gen short bed shell, hopefully in a color that goes well with MGM, but happy to paint something. Hoping for ~$1k? Not finding anything used at the usual local topper shops, and really don’t want to spend $3k on something new.

Did some quick searching and came up with this as about the cheapest I’ve found. And if you feel like buying one and being done, found this as well.

I sold mine for 1500 in under a week for a nice snug top. Although that was 2 Gen guy came all the way to gj from Denver too.

Facebook has become a mess and 3/4 of my hits were 3 Gen peeps who didn’t read my ad that it wouldn’t fit lol. People are hot after them it’s worth it to get a nice one or you’ll spend the extra repairing it anyway. Just keep an eye on FB and be ready to jump

When I was looking for my Snugtop, it was annoying the number of FB postings that wouldn’t clearly indicate LB/SB, model, features, and condition. As someone who grew up using actual classifieds, where each word mattered and was priced, writing succinct but thorough ads is not tough.
Anyway, finally found what I was looking for, via a well-written CL posting by a guy who was 62. lol.

I'm probably the only person who likes the SR5 wheels more than the OR. Tempted, but I do believe my wife would kill me.

They aren’t the same. Driver side is bigger. You could cut the hole bigger, but you don’t have the correct size plastic to trade.

FYI - the 2nd and 3rd gen cubby plastics are the same. I did this trade with @EnBoo where I got his cubby off the 3rd gen and he got the EE compressor mount. The bed requires a few holes drilled for the mount to work, but it doesn’t effect going back to stock cubby anytime you want.
