40 series flowmaster muffler

    TRD S/C 3" sky jacker suspension lift,33" kumho road venture mt kl71's 16" 320c pacer wheels,billet grill,EBC slotted and dimpled rotors,super 44 muffler with gutted cat,smoked l.e.d. tail lights, deck plate mod with K&N filter,fog/blinker mod,cobra cb with 4' firestick antenna/100W PA,clear corners with l.e.d bulbs,55w back up lights,urd O2 sim., blue l.e.d bulbs behind gauge cluster.
    A buddy is trying to sell a muffler that he says is a 40 series flow master with a 2 1/2" single inlet and outlet it has no FlowMaster markings so im not positive what it is it hasnt been used our mounted, I looked the 40series muffler up on the internet and it looks the same as his , hes asking 40obo. it does have a few scrathes on it from sitting around the garage but other than that its in new condition.

    No its never been mounted.

    it may very well be, but thats just what i was told. i have a flowmaster super 44 muffler on my truck and it says flowmaster so you are probably right. but it hasnt been used.

    ..I have a list of many things.
    I have a 50 series and I dont think mine says it.. But that is the Flowmaster design and construction. you can tell by the welds.

    well like i said i looked it up on the internet and i saw pics of the exact muffler that says flowmaster 40 series but i dont have a box or anything to say that for sure.

    I agree 100% with you that its a Flowmaster. I was just reassuring you with the observations I saw on my muffler (i.e. the welds and construction).

    neglect, mostly.
    yeah ive never seen a flowmaster that didn't have writing on it. interesting. my 40 that i had on my jeep was that color, looked the same, but as stated, was written on there. the 44 are black so it couldn't be that. ask your buddy where he bought it from and who installed it, maybe we'll get our answer.
