Brought the turd gen in for service where I used to work. They had this 2025 Tundra with 11k miles on it there, so I traded it in. They hooked me up big time on it. This thing has every option minus the factory light bar and rear locker.

I took my king 3.0's, deavers, and tonneau cover off to sell, so if anyones interested LMK.

I think Paul @ PPE is looking for a new Tundra for some prototype exhaust parts.

Keeps the LS 2nd gen AND gets rid of the 3rd gen? This thread is a 2nd gen owner's wet dream!:drool:

I unfortunately love how this thing sounds from the factory. nice and quiet.

    hahahahaha on it

My biggest problem with the 3rd gen is this: It was 40k, and had 0 extra creature comforts than my $9000 2nd gen had when it was stock. Because it was stick, it didnt come with the nice sound system, no smart key, no push to start, no remote start, no app functionality, the cruise control had loud ass relays for the adaptive portion, no lane keep assist, the list goes on and on. turd gen sucks.

    Hmmm…
Pretty sure Paul not going for extra volume but extra performance.
Something about better down pipes so the turbos can spool better… :notsure:
He said too many aftermarket companies make noisy exhaust systems.

I have to agree, my LS swap has ceramic coated cast iron manifolds, two cats and two of the largest Magnaflow mufflers made. 5x11x22 installed in a series and it’s still to loud.

Yeah with more performance comes more noise. Just how it is.

Well my TE cage is almost here. Says it’s in phoenix awaiting delivery. Will be dropping it off next weekend to get it burned in! I need to pick the truck up and pull the whole interior

I’m very interested in it, but kinda want to go a custom route and keep the most of the interior as I can. But also time and $… trade offs.

So you’re saying we have a race! Haha I’ve had slow progress on the one I’ve been working on because work has kicked my ass the last two weeks and haven’t been motivated to work on it in the evenings. Hopefully I finally have all the sheet metal cut and this weekend main tubes are in their final place and I can start lacing things together.

Today did finally have some progress considering there were zero tubes this morning.

Towing the old girl around. This thing pulls way better than the raptor, but the raptor doesn’t squat as much, which is surprising given that it’s on devaers.

got the entire interior gutted out for the roll cage install, and got it dropped off at the dudes house. Cage still isn’t here, says it’s in phoenix, and then my tracking number stopped working lol. So not sure when I’m getting it, but he’s gonna start plugging away next weekend.

Since you previously said the interior panels and ceiling don’t go back in, here is the thread to the FJ looking all weather floor with part numbers, potentially could be trimmed around the cage to provide a little protection for the wires along the floor

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-all-weather-flooring-part-numbers.443444/

And these little self adhesive cable wraps are excellent!! Could tidy up the overhead hanging wires

Already got the all weather floor! But the cage should be coming with floor plating too.

The floor plate kit is just to fill the holes where tubes go down to the frame.
