I don't hate the 4th Gen, or any other Tacoma for that matter. I just feel that the 4th Gen looks like it is trying way too hard.

Tacoma Noob here, got my 25 PRO a few days ago, coming from a Raptor I wanted a smaller truck yet sweet looking , hence the PRO. Biggest thing for me is interior space, backseat is for storage, but my kids drive now so no bigge. Other than that I have zero complaints, sweet looking, high tech, high quality, good mpg, decent power and a good quality ride for an off road vehicle.

Some of that has to do with how they package options, you may only want one specific upgrade but they force you into a package or trim with a bunch of other stuff.

It’s been that way for a long time now. I would have been happy with a 2024 SR5 and moonroof like my first Toyota truck. Not offered anymore.

That’s kinda the point. Toyota force feeds stuff we don’t want.

You don’t want a moonroof, I didn’t want the Baja seats.

That is what I want - a basic pro without the expensive seats, Black roof (so truck can double as an oven in the summer), the hybrid power train or the moonroof- but with great suspension and the wheels….

I hear reports of transmission issues with what ever 10spd goes in the F-150 my 23 feels better than the 21 I had, one was a 3.5 and the 23 is a 2.7 I'm under 30k miles FWIW. I've driven a few Expeditions with over 100k miles that shifted horrendously. I wouldn't say they are great transmissons there's always word of class action suits. I chock it up to the Ford ownership user experience, yeah I wouldn't buy a truck if the trans was slipping.

I have no idea what Ford models come w/ leather or fake leather. A quick search within 100mi have XLT's for $46,5xx. No idea if they have leather or not? I am interested in performance (towing, hauling, etc..). why I will be in a full size next. My Little Tacoma is rated ~6500lbs, but I would NOT want to tow that much often with these little trucks. Tacoma's are a lifestyle grocery getter, which, well they do well at.

Without searching at all honestly does anyone know if Toyota offers the AC or whatever it's called now with 4WD and manual transmission in Canada like they did in 3rd gen?

An Access Cab Pro would be sweet. Since they aborted the rear seat legroom, us empty nesters no longer need a crew cab, I'd be very interested

When pickups became 4 door short bed family haulers for 75k they’ve lost me.
