...been runnin' the truck nekkid up front for too long of a spell

i absolutely Love the nekkid in the front look
BUT! it is dangerous AF to keep doing this with the radiator bottom exposed + the oil pan and belts, etc.
...always remaining cautious of what i am rolling over in the roadway that could bounce and or get sucked up into there and get caught.

i have seen a few aftermarket front skid undercovers on TW searching around that are sharp looking but not a clue where how to pick one up

what do you have on your rig?

I have had a budbuilt skid on my truck for about 10 years. I like that it ties into the factory mounting locations unlike some of the other aftermarket ones (allpro?) that require you to purchase their bumper to use their skid plate. Overall it has been a great value and definitely saved my oil pan from some gnarly hits lol

Im rocking the 3/16” steel one. it has taken hits from all kinds of road debris and the full weight of the truck bouncing off it on the trail and done its job protecting the important bits.

if you do light offroading or street only the 1/8” or aluminum might be worth the weight savings.

Anyone know which front skid works with a relentless front bumper?

I did the DIY weld kit from Coastal Offroad as my first welding project: https://www.coastaloffroad.com/product-page/1st-gen-tacoma-skid-plate-kit/
Definitely get it powder coated. I just sprayed mine first and even with clearcoat, it eventually had surface rust so after a few years I got it powder coated.

I wish this aluminum option from RA Motorsports was available when I was looking (lighter weight, but still strong as long as you're not rock crawling): https://ramotorsports.ca/products/99-04-tacoma-aluminum-front-skidplate?variant=39532974243937 and https://ramotorsports.ca/products/9...ransmission-skid-plate?variant=39569584554081
